Remote Accountant / Full-Charge Bookkeeper — U.S. Small Business (QuickBooks + Mercury) Type: Part-time to start (~2 hours/day), with strong potential to grow Location: 100% Remote (company based in California, USA) Schedule: Flexible, with some overlap with U.S. Pacific business hours preferred About the role A small U.S.-based manufacturing company is looking for a sharp, reliable, and detail-obsessed accountant to take full ownership of our books. Our current bookkeeper — who has worked with us remotely for about two hours each day — is retiring, and we're looking for someone even better to step in and make this position their own. This is not a "wait to be told what to do" role. Our CEO is not an accountant and does not want to micromanage. He wants a true professional who will jump in, get organized fast, ask smart questions when needed, and guide him on the financial side rather than the other way around. If you're a self-starter who takes pride in clean books and enjoys owning your work, you'll thrive here. We're a very small team (three staff plus the CEO), so you'll work closely with everyone to make sure transactions are categorized correctly and nothing slips through the cracks. The CEO also owns two other small businesses — so once you've proven yourself, there is real room to expand your hours, scope, and income. What you'll do Keep the books clean, accurate, and up to date in QuickBooks Manage day-to-day banking through Mercury online business banking Organize and track invoices, and pay vendors accurately and on time Work closely with staff to ensure proper categorization of income and expenses Reconcile accounts monthly and flag anything unusual Prepare and organize records for tax season, and coordinate with our tax preparer/CPA Produce simple, clear financial reports the CEO can actually understand and act on Proactively spot problems, suggest improvements, and keep us organized without being chased What we're looking for A certified accountant / bookkeeper with solid formal training (CPA or equivalent certification strongly preferred) Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online and/or Desktop) Comfortable with U.S. accounting practices and working with U.S. small businesses Experience with U.S. tax preparation or preparing books for a U.S. tax filing Familiarity with Mercury or similar online business banking (or the ability to learn it quickly) Bookkeeping experience with a manufacturing or inventory-based business is a big plus Excellent written English and clear, proactive communication Trustworthy, discreet, and comfortable handling sensitive financial information A genuine self-starter who owns their work and doesn't need hand-holding Why you'll like working with us A CEO who trusts good people and stays out of the weeds Clear ownership of your role — you run the books, you guide us A small, friendly team where your work is visible and appreciated Long-term stability and real growth — additional hours and scope across three businesses for the right person Compensation Part-time to start (roughly two hours per day), with pay based on your experience and certifications. As you take on more, hours and compensation will grow. We're looking for a long-term partner, not a quick placeholder. How to apply We read every application carefully, and we want to know you did too. Start your message with the word "LEDGER" so we know you read this posting all the way through. I've built an app that serves around 30 clients currently, where we book in sales calls for their business and then track it all in the app. I've created an n8n workflow that scrapes the conversation that was had, prior to booking in a call and displays it in a lead profile card in a CRM style. I used claude code to build it all, using supabase as the database and display metrics and conversations using RLS and secured all permission layers with supabase authentication. I'm looking for someone to review all the code, RLS policy correctness, auth flow gaps, exposed endpoints, service-role key leakage, refining systems and making them more streamlined, and finally seeing if the UI can improve at all, as i think UI is one of the most impressive metrics. The job will start as a one time scope and hire, with the opportunity to continue to grow with us. for example, we want to launch our own branded fitness training app that would compete with trainerize, AFTER we finish this app. This whole app is a reflection of a Sales team and i'm trying to track the show rate, the close rate, the metrics of the setters. and everything is already connected and woven together. so I need someone with real skill and experience in building some sort of app that resembles this. Agency Saas style CRM, built in metric tracking. Please don't apply if you haven't built something like what i'm talking about. if you have , please apply with 4 application points title your application AI DEV WIZARD and send me a demo of an app that you've built so i can see the Visual quality and if you can explain the back end very minimally, just enough to show your experience if you don't have a demo to show, i can't consider you. Thank you!

We're looking for a highly skilled Graphic Designer to join a growing iOS health & fitness app. First and foremost, this is a graphic design role. We're looking for someone with an excellent visual eye who can create polished, modern graphics for social media, advertising, and our brand. You should be able to take a reference, idea, screenshot, rough direction, or existing format and turn it into something that looks great. However, we are not looking for someone who can only edit templates or wait for examples to recreate. A major part of this role will eventually be taking ownership of creative: researching what's working on social media, finding new formats and trends, developing original concepts, and bringing new ideas to the team. We're looking for someone who can start as an excellent graphic designer and grow into someone who helps drive PepKit's creative direction. What You'll Be Doing Your role will have two major sides: 1. Graphic Design & Creative Production This will be your primary focus when you first join. You'll create: Social media graphics for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms Static image ads for Meta and other paid channels UGC-style static creatives Educational graphics and carousels Branded social media content Variations of high-performing creatives Graphics adapted from references and trending formats App-focused graphics using screenshots, UI, and product features Content for multiple social media accounts AI-assisted images and creative assets When you first start, we'll provide references, templates, examples, brand assets, and clear direction so you can learn our style and understand what we're looking for. But that's only the beginning. 2. Creative Research, Ideas & Ownership As you become familiar with PepKit and our creative style, we want you to begin taking ownership of what we create. Instead of only receiving: "Make this." We eventually want you coming to us with: "I found this format that's performing really well right now. I think we can adapt it for PepKit, so I mocked up three ideas." This side of your role will include: Researching viral content and emerging social media formats Finding high-performing posts, ads, hooks, and visual concepts Studying what other brands and creators are doing well Looking beyond our industry for creative formats we can adapt Developing new graphic concepts without needing a reference for everything Finding new ways to present existing ideas Identifying trends that could work for PepKit Turning winning content into additional variations Suggesting new content ideas and creative experiments Understanding what makes someone stop scrolling Learning from the performance of previous creatives and applying those lessons to new ones We want someone who is naturally curious about why certain content performs. If you spend time on TikTok or Instagram and constantly notice interesting ads, graphics, hooks, trends, ---------- s, carousels, or content formats, that's a very good sign. You Need to Understand Social Media Being a great designer is essential, but we're not creating magazine layouts or corporate brochures. We're creating content designed to get attention on the internet. You should understand that the best-performing social creative isn't necessarily the most beautiful. Sometimes a polished branded graphic works. Sometimes an image that looks like someone made it on their phone in 30 seconds performs better. A great designer for this role needs to understand both. We want someone who understands, or is eager to deeply understand: TikTok Instagram Reels Meta ads UGC Viral content Hooks ---------- s and internet culture Native social content Scroll-stopping creative Why people share, save, comment on, or click content You should be able to look at a viral post and think beyond: "This got a lot of views." We want you thinking: "Why did this work, and how could we use the same concept for PepKit?" What We're Looking For The #1 qualification is simple: You are very good at graphic design. We're looking for someone with a strong understanding of: Typography Composition Layout Visual hierarchy Spacing Color Branding Image selection Photo manipulation Social media design Ad creative Turning rough ideas into polished visuals You should be able to look at a reference and understand why it works visually, not simply copy the individual elements. You should also be capable of creating something from scratch when a reference doesn't exist. Your portfolio will matter significantly more to us than your résumé. AI Experience Is a Major Plus We use AI heavily throughout our creative process and expect AI to become an increasingly important part of this role. Experience with AI creative tools is a major advantage, especially: AI image generation AI image editing AI UGC AI video generation Prompting ChatGPT Claude Other creative AI tools If you're an excellent designer who is curious about AI and comfortable learning new technology, we'll teach you our workflows. Over time, we want you to become extremely good at combining graphic design + AI + social media creativity. What the Role Can Grow Into We're looking for someone we can work with long term. As you become comfortable with PepKit, we'll gradually introduce more responsibility. This could eventually include: Owning portions of our content calendar Creating AI-generated UGC images and videos Researching competitors and creative trends Maintaining libraries of winning ads, hooks, and creative inspiration Repurposing successful organic content into paid ads Developing new creative concepts based on performance Organizing creative assets and templates Scheduling approved social media content Helping manage content across multiple accounts Building repeatable creative workflows Helping improve our AI creative processes Identifying opportunities without waiting for assignments You are not expected to do all of this immediately. We'll introduce responsibilities gradually as you learn the company, brand, audience, and systems. But we want to hire someone who wants to grow into this level of ownership. The Person We Want You may be a great fit if: You're genuinely talented at graphic design You have a strong visual eye and notice details others miss You understand modern internet and social media design You spend time studying content that performs well You're interested in why some content goes viral and other content doesn't You can follow a reference accurately when needed You can also create original concepts when there is no reference You're comfortable receiving feedback and iterating quickly You're organized and reliable You're curious about AI and new creative technology You actively look for better ways to do things You want ownership rather than waiting for tasks forever Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can eventually balance execution and initiative. When we have a specific vision, you should be able to execute it extremely well. When we don't have a specific vision, we want you to be capable of helping us find one. About PepKit PepKit is a growing iOS health & fitness app that helps users organize and track peptide protocols, schedules, doses, and related information. We're a fast-moving startup with a major focus on content, creative, and growth. We're expanding our organic social media presence while beginning to invest more heavily in paid advertising, making creative one of the most important parts of our growth strategy. You'll be joining early and will have the opportunity to grow from our graphic designer into an important part of PepKit's overall creative operation. How to Apply Please send: 1. Your portfolio — this is the most important part of your application. 2. A short introduction about yourself and your graphic design experience. 3. Examples of social media graphics or ads you've created, if available. 4. Examples of any AI-generated images or videos you've created, if available. 5. The design tools you're most comfortable using. Please start your application with the word PEPKIT so we know you read the entire posting. Portfolio quality will be the biggest factor in who moves forward. We're looking for someone who can make great creative today and become an increasingly important part of how we create, test, and discover new creative tomorrow. Base hourly pay + significant monthly bonus potential based on performance, output, and impact.
