This Privacy Policy explains how Vertuelo collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you use our websites, accounts, public profiles, ProPages, resumes, portfolios, job tools, employer tools, forums, polls, attachments, AI features, and related services.
2. Information You Provide
We collect information you submit, such as name, email address, password or OAuth login details, profile details, headline, bio, skills, services, rates, availability, location or timezone, social links, education, experience, certifications, resumes, portfolios, case studies, ProPage content, forum posts, comments, polls, attachments, job applications, employer company details, job listings, applicant notes, subscription details, support messages, and settings.
3. Information Collected Automatically
We may collect device, browser, IP address, log, session, referral, page view, click, feature usage, error, security, rate-limit, and approximate location information. We use cookies or similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, analytics, and product performance.
4. Public and Shared Content
Some features are designed to be public or shared. Public profiles, ProPages, portfolio links, forum posts, comments, polls, job listings, badges, display names, avatars, and selected profile fields may be visible to visitors, members, search engines, employers, or applicants depending on the feature and your settings. Do not post information you do not want others to see.
5. Uploaded Files and Attachments
Files may include resumes, portfolio assets, application materials, forum attachments, images, documents, and other uploads. Files may be stored with cloud object storage providers such as Cloudflare R2 or another S3-compatible service. File URLs may be public, signed, or otherwise accessible depending on the feature. We may process file metadata such as file name, type, size, storage key, upload time, and uploader account.
6. AI Features
When you use AI mentor, resume review, proposal drafting, mock interview, job post drafting, hiring review, or similar features, prompts, uploaded or selected content, profile context, and generated responses may be processed by AI service providers. Avoid entering secrets, passwords, private financial data, government IDs, medical information, or third-party confidential information unless the feature clearly requires it and you have the right to provide it.
7. How We Use Information
We use information to create and secure accounts, authenticate users, operate profiles and ProPages, generate resumes and portfolios, run job and employer workflows, process applications, show community content, enable polls and attachments, send service emails, provide AI features, personalize recommendations, enforce policies, prevent abuse, diagnose bugs, measure product usage, comply with law, and improve Vertuelo.
8. How We Share Information
We share information as needed with other users based on the feature, such as employers viewing applications or members viewing forum posts. We also share information with service providers that help us run the platform, including hosting, database, authentication, email, analytics, security, payment, AI, and cloud storage providers. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, during business transfers, or with your direction or consent. We do not sell personal information.
9. Employer and Applicant Data
Employers may receive profile, resume, application, portfolio, contact, screening, and message information that applicants choose to provide or that is needed for hiring workflows. Employers are independently responsible for how they process applicant data outside Vertuelo. Applicants should verify opportunities and use care before sharing sensitive information with employers or third parties.
10. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, comply with law, and support legitimate business operations. Public content, logs, backups, billing records, security records, and deleted-account remnants may remain for limited periods. Some content may remain visible if it was shared, cached, exported, or copied by others.
10A. Vertuelo-Managed Talent Profiles
Some directory entries are labeled Vertuelo Talent. They are managed synthetic examples built from non-identifying professional patterns and are not accounts operated by a represented individual. Contacting one creates a tracked sourcing inquiry so Vertuelo can suggest real public freelancers. We retain inquiry status, selected candidates, operational notes, and communication events needed to provide and audit that service. Managed profiles do not have usable inboxes or login credentials.
11. Your Choices and Rights
You can update account, profile, notification, privacy, and publication settings in the app where available. You may request access, correction, deletion, export, restriction, or objection where applicable law grants those rights. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information when required for security, legal, billing, or operational reasons.
12. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, authentication, database security, rate limits, and cloud infrastructure protections. No online service is completely secure, so users should use strong passwords, protect devices, and avoid sharing sensitive data unnecessarily.
13. International Processing
Vertuelo may process and store information in the Philippines, the United States, Singapore, the European Economic Area, or other locations where our providers operate. By using the service, you understand that information may be transferred and processed outside your country of residence.
14. Children
Vertuelo is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and remove it when appropriate.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform, providers, laws, and features change. The updated date will show when changes were made. Material changes may be communicated through the app or other reasonable means.
