Customer Service Expert β€” E-Commerce Support at Scale

Confidential employer

We're looking for a customer service specialist who understands one thing clearly: A good reply doesn't just sound polite. It answers the real question, solves the problem before it grows, and turns a frustrated customer into one who orders again. We're a fast-growing e-commerce brand selling K-beauty skincare products to women over 40. We currently sell in Italy, Spain, UK and we're actively expanding across Europe, with new markets launching soon. Paid social is one of our main growth channels β€” which means most customers meet us through an ad, arrive with questions, and write to us in their own language. Support is not a cost center for us, it's one of the biggest drivers of trust, retention, and repeat revenue. We're looking for someone who can own that inbox across several languages β€” and who can do it using a modern, AI-driven workflow that lets us answer fast, absorb volume, and open new markets without the quality dropping. This role is ideal for someone who understands e-commerce support, multilingual communication, courier problems, refunds and disputes, AI-assisted workflows, and the difference between closing a ticket and keeping a customer. --- WHAT YOU'LL BE HANDLING --- You'll be working the inbox of a DTC brand running paid traffic, which means: β€” "Where is my order": stalled tracking, parcels stuck at a hub, deliveries marked complete but never received β€” Pre-purchase questions: people who saw the ad and want to know if it works and if we're real β€” Product and skin questions: ingredients, how to use it, what to expect and when, sensitive skin, pregnancy β€” Reactions and complaints: rare, serious, handled carefully and escalated properly β€” Refunds, returns and withdrawal: EU consumer rules, our guarantee, and knowing when to say yes β€” Disputes and chargebacks: PayPal and card cases, caught early enough to resolve instead of lose β€” Comments and DMs under our ads: public, and often a cold audience's first impression of us β€” Win-back conversations: the ones that turn a solved problem into another order --- WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR --- We're not looking for someone who writes beautiful, polite email s and nothing else. Anyone can do that now. AI made good prose free, which means good prose is no longer the job. We're looking for someone who works the ticket before writing it. You should: β€” Read the real carrier events, not the tracking link the customer already saw β€” Check whether this person wrote before, and what was promised last time β€” Notice the payment method β€” PayPal and card have different dispute clocks β€” Tell a policy abuser apart from someone genuinely upset and about to leave one star β€” Chase the courier yourself instead of telling the customer to keep waiting β€” D ---------- within your limits instead of escalating everything and slowing the queue β€” Close the conversation, so the same person doesn't write three more times You should be able to take a Shopify order, a tracking page that hasn't moved in five days and an angry customer, and turn it into a resolved ticket and a customer who stays. --- LANGUAGES (NON-NEGOTIABLE) --- Our customers write from all over Europe, and every email is answered in the language it arrived in β€” never in English, and never in something that reads like it came out of a translator. A customer can tell within one sentence. β€” English at a top level, written and spoken. It's our working language and the one you translate through β€” You don't need to be native in every market. You do need replies a native reader wouldn't flag as translated β€” Which means catching what translation tools get wrong: formality in German, politeness register in French, warmth in Italian and Spanish β€” Any European language you genuinely have is a strong plus, not a requirement β€” Written level is what counts. You'll be judged on the email s you write, not on a certificate If your English isn't strong enough to move quickly and accurately in both directions, this role isn't the right fit. --- HOW WE USE AI (AND HOW WE DON'T) --- We assume you use AI. Everyone does, and we'd be concerned if you didn't. What matters is how. You should be confident in: β€” Drafting and translating with it, and holding one consistent tone across every language β€” Building your own prompts, macros and saved replies, so the same answer isn't rewritten fifty times β€” Checking every fact first: AI invents shipping dates and policies, and the customer holds us to them β€” Knowing which tickets it never touches alone: reactions, legal threats, disputes, anyone on their third email β€” Spotting the answer that is technically correct and still wrong, because it missed the problem underneath β€” Keeping the result human: a reply that reads as generated costs more trust than a slower one would have If your workflow is pasting the customer's email into ChatGPT and sending back whatever comes out, this role isn't the right fit. --- THE KIND OF PERSON WHO WILL THRIVE HERE --- You'll be a strong fit if you: β€” Have handled real volume for an e-commerce brand, and know your daily ticket count β€” Know your own numbers: response time, refund rate, chargeback rate, contact rate β€” Are comfortable inside Shopify: orders, fulfillments, refunds, customer history β€” Know what macros, tags and SLAs are actually for β€” Chase people internally when something is stuck, without being asked twice β€” Write short: six clear lines beat three paragraphs, in every language β€” Stay calm with someone being unfair to you, and calm again the third time β€” Have judgment about money: a partial refund today often beats a chargeback next week β€” Notice patterns: thirty email s about one thing means something upstream is broken β€” Care whether the customer comes back, not just whether the ticket is closed We care about support that protects revenue. That doesn't mean saying no to customers. It means every reply β€” and every refund decision β€” should support the relationship, the trust, and the next order. --- SKILLS & EXPERIENCE --- Ideally, you have experience with: β€” Customer service for an e-commerce or DTC brand running paid social β€” Shopify: orders, refunds, fulfillments, customer history β€” A helpdesk: Gorgias, Zendesk, Freshdesk, Front, Intercom, or similar β€” Email , WhatsApp, live chat, and Instagram and Facebook ---------- and comments β€” Carrier tracking and claims, and dealing with couriers on missing parcels β€” Refunds, returns and EU consumer rules, including the right of withdrawal β€” PayPal and card disputes, resolved before they become chargebacks β€” ChatGPT, Claude, DeepL, or an AI agent inside the helpdesk Bonus if you've worked with beauty, skincare, or K-beauty brands targeting a female audience over 40. --- WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY --- β€” Answering email s in the language they arrived in, inside our response time targets β€” Working each ticket properly: order, tracking, history and payment checked before you reply β€” Chasing couriers on stuck parcels, and d ---------- when to reship β€” Handling refunds, returns and withdrawal requests within your limits β€” Catching disputes early, before they become chargebacks β€” Replying to comments and DMs under our ads, where a cold audience is watching β€” Improving macros, saved replies and prompts so the whole queue gets faster β€” Flagging patterns: the product page that causes tickets, the courier that keeps failing β€” Adapting tone and templates as each new European market opens --- WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU --- β€” Competitive compensation based on experience β€” Performance-based bonuses tied to real numbers: response time, satisfaction, refund rate β€” Access to premium AI and support tools β€” fully covered by us β€” Real autonomy: a spending limit you can d ---------- within, from early on β€” Owning the customer relationship for a brand growing across multiple European markets β€” Long-term growth with a fast-scaling D2C brand expanding internationally We're building a serious e-commerce brand, and we're looking for someone who knows that support is where trust is either built or lost β€” using both real judgment about customers and money, and the AI tools that make modern support possible at scale. Marketing Operations Manager

Confidential employer

LEAD THE CREATIVE OPERATION. THEN HELP BUILD WHAT COMES NEXT. Creative Production is the center of this role at the start. You will manage the editors, own the production system, raise the quality of the work, and make sure strong creative moves from brief to final asset without senior leadership having to manage every detail. This is not a coordinator role. It is not a virtual-assistant role. We need a Marketing Operations Manager who can operate the day-to-day work and improve the system at the same time. A NOTE FROM OUR CMO Before applying, watch this short video from our CMO about the role, its expectations, and what success looks like: ---------- /share/9cd974e7c8a848de8b84a4a992df4e45 Once Creative Production is stable and you have demonstrated the judgment, leadership, and capacity required, the role will expand into Social Media Operations. That second phase will include the team, publishing, community, creator, affiliate, and channel systems around the content. Phase 2 is planned to begin 60–90 days after your start date. The exact timing will depend on demonstrated readiness and business needs. ABOUT VERITAS Veritas builds complete Starlink Mini deployment setupsβ€”mounts, power, cables, cases, and accessoriesβ€”for consumers, work teams, and government fleets. We are a growing US company with a small, high-output marketing team in the Philippines. Several team members have grown with the company over the long term. We want the same for this role. THE DETAILS Full-time independent contractor role with fixed monthly compensation of $2,000–$2,500 USD, based on experience, leadership depth, and overall fitβ€”not an hourly position Approximately 45–50 hours per week, with the regular work schedule fully aligned with Pacific Time Philippine graveyard shift: roughly 11:00 PM–8:00 AM or 12:00 AM–9:00 AM, depending on U.S. daylight saving time Fully remote and long-term This must be your only job. No part-time employment, side hustles, ongoing freelance clients, or subcontracting Occasional weekend availability when production, launches, or publishing require management coverage Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, or Laguna required; no regular onsite office days, but occasional in-person meetings may be scheduled WHAT YOU'LL OWN At full production, the team aims to produce one long-form video and up to 14 supporting creative assets each week. These may include shorts/reels, static graphics, or carousels and are adapted for distribution across Facebook , Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X. PHASE 1: LEAD CREATIVE PRODUCTION Manage a two-person video-editing team, including their priorities, workload, deadlines, coverage, development, and performance. Turn approved priorities into clear production plans, briefs, scripts, storytelling direction, B-roll needs, and deliverables. Own the production pipeline: capacity, assignments, dependencies, revisions, blockers, asset readiness, and delivery visibility. Review short-form, long-form, ads, thumbnails, static assets, carousels, platform versions, and other creative output. Evaluate the full storyβ€”not only whether one shot matches one line. Check hooks, pacing, B-roll, demonstrations, captions, CTAs, factual accuracy, brand alignment, and viewer flow. Give editors clear, prioritized, actionable feedback and verify that required revisions were completed correctly. Use performance findings to identify stronger hooks, packaging, formats, V2/V3 opportunities, and creative tests. Build and improve SOPs, review standards, production trackers, asset repositories, AI-assisted QA, and backup coverage. Coordinate minor corrections and urgent production support when needed, without turning the role into a primary editing position. PHASE 2: ADD SOCIAL MEDIA OPERATIONS Phase 2 is planned to begin 60–90 days after your start date, once Phase 1 is operating reliably and you have demonstrated readiness for the expanded scope. At that point, you will also: Manage the current Social Media Moderator and future social media team members. Own the publishing calendar, content inventory, platform schedules, launch pushes, and publishing verification across Facebook , Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and X. Ensure each platform receives the correct version, copy, CTA, description, tags, products, related content, links, and native-platform setup. Oversee community, marketing inboxes, important comments and messages, channel presentation, and routine reputation handling. Manage routine creator-partnership and affiliate operations, including communication, records, deliverables, logistics, and escalation. Own routine UTM, Bitly, campaign-link, profile-link, and destination-verification workflows. Review social performance and turn findings into decisions, tests, and coordinated creative recommendations. Build and maintain the social department’s processes, AI workflows, reporting, and continuity systems. HOW THE ROLE FITS You will report to and work closely with senior marketing leadership. In Phase 1, the video editors report to you. In Phase 2, the Social Media Moderator also reports to you. You will have authority over routine departmental planning, assignments, quality, coaching, corrections, and process improvements within approved standards. Cross-functional, sensitive, contractual, financial, policy, staffing, reputation, and other material decisions remain with senior leadership. HOW WE USE AI Our marketing operation uses AI for context, research, briefs, feedback, quality control, documentation, analysis, automation, and institutional memory. We want someone who uses AI heavily to improve judgment and executionβ€”not someone who accepts raw output. Sources must be checked. Brand and product accuracy must be protected. What the team learns should improve the next workflow. YOU'RE A STRONG FIT IF YOU Have at least eight years of professional work experience. Have at least three years managing teams and direct reports. Have at least two years of experience inside a creative or marketing function. Have meaningful corporate, in-house, agency, or field-based operating experienceβ€”not only freelance, VA, or task-based remote experience. Have managed a creative-production pipeline and can explain the team size, volume, process, problems, decisions, and results. Are exceptionally strong at storytelling and can diagnose why an edit is technically correct but still wrong for the overall story. Hands-on video-editing experience is an advantage, but it is not required. You must be able to direct editors, evaluate their work, and clearly explain what needs to change and why. Can coach editors, address recurring mistakes, manage underperformance, and maintain accountability without becoming the bottleneck. Take action without waiting for step-by-step direction and consistently look for ways to improve quality, speed, visibility, and continuity. Use performance evidence to improve creative workβ€”not only report numbers. Use AI daily with structured context, validation, human review, reusable systems, and feedback loops. Communicate clearly in conversational American English. Can sustain a Philippine graveyard schedule and occasional weekend coverage. Reside in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, or Laguna and be willing to attend occasional in-person meetings. Have reliable primary internet, a backup connection, and backup power. Want one company to grow with for the long term. THIS ROLE IS NOT FOR Someone who waits for detailed instructions before acting. Someone whose experience is limited to task-based VA work, short freelance engagements, or managing multiple clients. A strong individual contributor who does not want to manage, coach, and hold people accountable. Someone who reviews only technical editing details but cannot evaluate the complete story and business goal. Someone who creates more process without improving output, visibility, quality, or results. Someone planning to keep another job, freelance clients, or subcontract any part of the work. Someone testing a graveyard schedule for the first time without a credible plan to sustain it. HOW WE WORK Clear priorities. Direct feedback. Strong ownership. Problems are raised early. Decisions are documented. The goal is not to look busy. The goal is to build work that performs and an operation that improves. Our brand voice follows the same standard: short words, short sentences, confident but never salesy. Like a friend who knows the gear. HOW TO APPLY Use this subject line and at least 20 AP: [INSERT REQUIRED WORD] - [X] years of professional experience - [X] years managing teams Include the following: Your resume with company names, employment dates, role titles, team sizes, and whether each role was corporate, in-house, agency, freelance, or VA work. Have you directly managed a creative-production or video-production team? Answer Yes or No. If yes, state the team size. Can you provide examples of videos, campaigns, or creative projects you directly led if you advance to the next stage? Answer Yes or No. Do not send links or detailed explanations at this stage. In one short logistics block, confirm that this would be your only job and that you would complete all work personally. Include your city or province, most recent U.S.-hours role and actual schedule, primary and backup internet, backup power, and occasional weekend availability. Note: Applications missing any requirement will not be considered.

If you're a multilingual customer service specialist who works the ticket AND lives in the AI workflow, we'd love to hear from you. --- READY TO APPLY? --- If this sounds like your kind of challenge, we'd love to hear from you. We run a US health and wellness ecommerce brand (supplements and topicals, two Shopify stores). We get a steady flow of customer email s and a large volume of Facebook comments on our ads every day. We need one reliable person to own both. This is a long term role. We are looking for someone to stay for years, not weeks. WHAT YOU WILL DO Email (about 60% of your day) Work the support inbox in our own helpdesk tool. Most replies are already pre-drafted for you by our system. Full-Time Short-Form Video Editor β€” $1,000+/mo β€” Established TikTok/UGC Page (Long-Term Role)

Confidential employer

READ THIS FIRST This application requires a paid test video. It takes about an hour and I pay $25 USD for it whether or not I hire you. Applications without a test video are deleted unread. Not set aside, not reviewed later - deleted. I've run this post before without the test as a hard requirement and got thirty applications I couldn't tell apart. I'd rather read five real edits than fifty resumes. If that's not something you want to do, no hard feelings, but please don't apply - you'll be spending your time for nothing. INTERVIEWS HAVE ALREADY STARTED. There is no closing date because there doesn't need to be one. I'm reviewing tests as they arrive and interviewing the strong ones the same week. The moment I find the right editor this post comes down. If you're reading this and you want the role, do the test today. Every day you wait is a day the seat is more likely already filled. THE TEST Folder (everything you need for the test is in here): ---------- Inside, you'll find the reference video, the raw footage, and a "Further Directions" file. Read that file before you start. POSITION Full-Time Short-Form Video Editor β€” $1,000+/mo β€” Established TikTok/UGC Page (Long-Term Role) TYPE / SALARY Full Time Β· 5–6 days per week Β· PH or similar time zone $1,000 USD/month starting, potential for performance bonuses. Raises tied to skill and results. JOB DESCRIPTION I run a TikTok page and produce UGC that consistently reaches large audiences. I'm looking for one editor to take ownership of the editing work alongside me, long term. Success in this role comes down to two things above all else: editing quality and English comprehension. Because of that, this posting is specific about what the work requires, and the application asks for more than a rΓ©sumΓ©. I'd rather be clear upfront than have either of us discover a mismatch a month in. THE WORK Daily short-form vertical content β€” mostly talking heads with occasional voiceover/b-roll: Cutting dead space so videos stay paced and never drag Stitching the strongest takes into one seamless piece Adding image overlays on screen to support what's being said Zooms, crops, and reframes to keep the frame dynamic B-roll builds: I provide a voiceover and footage, you find the visual that matches each line Sourcing your own overlay assets β€” reading the script and independently finding the images it calls for The last two items are the core of the role. The rest is technical work most editors can learn. Choosing the right visual for the right sentence is what separates a video that reaches 4,000 people from one that reaches 4,000,000. SOURCING YOUR OWN ASSETS This is one of the most important parts of the job, and the part most editors are not set up for. I'll give you background and direction, but I want you fully self-sufficient at finding the visuals a script needs. That means: Reading the script and working out which images the moment actually calls for Finding high-quality, aesthetically strong photos of who/what is being discussed β€” not the first search result, but the image that looks right on screen Learning the brands I work with well enough to represent them correctly Knowing which parts of a brand's website are worth capturing, and pulling clean screenshots of them Sourcing relevant comments, posts, and screenshots that support the point being made Placing every asset at the right moment in the video, on the beat the script lands on I shouldn't have to send you an image folder for a video to get made. You should be able to take the script and go find what it needs. This requires genuinely understanding English β€” hearing a sentence and catching the humor, the tone, the reference β€” because you can't source the right image for a line you don't fully understand. Your English does not need to be perfect. It needs to be strong enough that you follow everything being said and that we can communicate quickly and clearly. Familiarity with internet and pop culture is a significant advantage here, and it's rewarded. EXAMPLES OF THE WORK Please watch all three before applying so you know exactly what you'd be producing. Basic talking head β€” cutting dead space, piecing clips together, light crops and zooms: ---------- Talking head with overlays β€” the same, plus supplied images placed on screen: ---------- B-roll β€” a voiceover with footage matched to it line by line. This is where English comprehension shows most: ---------- WHO I'M LOOKING FOR Strong attention to detail. You catch the frame held a beat too long or the overlay that sits slightly off. This is the most important quality in the role. Self-sufficiency with assets. You can take a script and go find the images it needs without being handed a folder. This is weighted as heavily as your editing. Willingness to go the extra step. Reviewing your own export once more and fixing what wasn't flagged. Strong English comprehension. Understanding is essential; polished speaking and writing is a bonus. Responsive communication. When I message during working hours, I need a reply promptly rather than the following day. Exclusivity. This is a full-time position and I'm looking for someone working with me only β€” no other clients, agencies, or subcontracting. In return you get stability, a real salary, and an employer invested in your growth. A long-term outlook. I'm hiring someone to grow with my content over years, not to fill a short-term gap. This role likely isn't the right fit if you're applying broadly today, prefer briefs explained in detail more than once, or intend to use AI to write your application answers β€” I'm looking for your own thinking. REQUIREMENTS Proven experience editing short-form vertical video (TikTok / Reels / Shorts) CapCut or any software you work quickly in β€” the output is what matters Confident sourcing your own images, screenshots, and reference material online, with good taste in what looks right on screen Reliable internet and a computer that handles daily editing without issues Available full time, with reasonable overlap with my hours. The volume moves with the content schedule β€” some weeks run 4–5 days, others run 6–7. I need someone who can flex with it rather than hold to a fixed number of days Able to receive payment via Wise Comfortable receiving direct feedback and applying it the first time PAY AND GROWTH $1,000 USD/month paid through Wise, with potential for performance bonuses. The ceiling on this role sits well above the starting salary β€” as you learn my style and begin contributing your own ideas, your compensation grows accordingly. You'd be working directly with me each day on videos that have proven to get millions of views. HOW TO APPLY Subject line: EDITOR β€” [number of the example video above you think is hardest to edit] (For example: EDITOR β€” 2. Applications that don't follow this format won't be reviewed.) Please include in your message: Links to 2–3 short-form videos you personally edited, and what you handled on each. If you worked on only part of a video, please say so β€” accuracy matters more to me than scope. In your own words, 3–5 sentences, without AI assistance: watch example #3 and describe one editing choice that worked well and one you would have approached differently. There's no right answer β€” I'm interested in how you evaluate a video. The software you use and how long you've worked in it. Your internet speed (a speed test screenshot is ideal) and your typical available hours in PH time. One sentence on your current work and why you're looking to move. Paid test β€” $25 USD. Applicants completing the paid test will use the Google Drive folder linked below, which contains the reference video, original voiceover take, raw footage, and further directions. You'll stitch together the strongest takes, match footage to the voiceover, and send back your version. Note that the folder deliberately does not contain every image the script calls for β€” part of the test is sourcing a few visuals yourself and placing them where you feel they could belong. It should take about an hour. This test is paid $25 USD regardless of the hiring outcome β€” I don't ask anyone to work unpaid. Google Drive (reference video and source files): ---------- A strong test is followed by a short call, and then a start date. I review every application that follows the instructions above.
