Nonprofit Grant Research, Sponsorship & Fundraising Development Specialist

Confidential employer

About Our Community Home Our Community Home, Inc. is a Richmond, Virginia nonprofit supporting people facing mental-health challenges, substance-use recovery, housing instability, unemployment, and related barriers. Our programs and initiatives include housing and recovery support, mental-health awareness, workforce development, community partnerships, resource connection, and community programming. We are looking for a resourceful specialist who can help us build a disciplined year-round funding and fundraising pipeline. About the Position We need more than someone who performs generic internet searches or produces lists of grants without evaluating eligibility. The Grant Research and Fundraising Development Specialist will identify appropriate funding opportunities, evaluate organizational fit, maintain a funding calendar, support grant applications, research sponsors and donors, and develop practical fundraising concepts. What You Will Own Research federal, state, local, foundation, community-foundation, corporate, healthcare, banking, mental-health, substance-use, housing, workforce-development, small nonprofit, and micro-grant opportunities. Review eligibility, geographic restrictions, funding priorities, typical award amounts, deadlines, required registrations, matching requirements, reporting requirements, and application effort. Research funders’ previous awards, Form 990 information, stated priorities, geographic focus, and likely organizational fit. Create and maintain a 12-month grant and funding calendar. Score opportunities based on mission alignment, eligibility, competitiveness, award potential, deadline, relationship potential, and application effort. Recommend which opportunities the organization should pursue, monitor, or decline. Create and maintain a centralized grant-document library. Develop reusable organizational language covering mission, need, population served, program descriptions, outcomes, partnerships, sustainability, and organizational capacity. Draft letters of inquiry, concept papers, application narratives, cover letters, and supporting documents. Coordinate document requests and submission checklists. Maintain a pipeline showing prospects, deadlines, assigned responsibilities, submission status, follow-up dates, and decisions. Research local and national corporate sponsors and philanthropic partners. Develop organized sponsor prospect lists and recommended outreach approaches. Help create sponsorship packages, donor communications, and outreach templates. Develop practical fundraising concepts for different points in the year, including community events, awareness campaigns, digital campaigns, corporate sponsorships, peer-to-peer efforts, recurring giving, and mission-aligned partnerships. Prepare concise weekly updates describing findings, recommendations, risks, deadlines, and decisions needed from leadership. First 30-Day Deliverables The initial engagement will focus on producing: A clean funding pipeline with approximately 20–30 genuinely qualified opportunities. A prioritized list of the 10 strongest opportunities, including detailed fit assessments. A 12-month grant and application calendar. A centralized grant-document checklist and missing-document report. A list of approximately 25 qualified corporate or institutional sponsorship prospects. Four well-developed fundraising concept briefs. At least one draft letter of inquiry or concept-paper outline for an approved opportunity. Quality and fit are more important than producing a large number of generic prospects. Required Qualifications At least two years of experience researching or supporting U.S. nonprofit grants, fundraising, sponsorships, or institutional development. Demonstrated experience with mental health, behavioral health, recovery, housing, homelessness, workforce development, human services, community development, or related causes is strongly preferred. Strong understanding of how to evaluate a grant beyond keyword matching. Excellent research, writing, proofreading, and organizational skills. Experience reviewing funder websites, Form 990 information, past grant recipients, corporate-giving programs, community foundations, ---------- , ---------- , and other relevant resources. Ability to distinguish between research, proposal drafting, program design, budget development, and final organizational approval. Strong Google Sheets and Google Docs skills. Ability to document the source and date of every funding opportunity. Ability to verify AI-assisted research and writing rather than submitting unverified or generic AI output. Willingness to protect donor, organizational, financial, and client information. Important Expectations You may support proposal drafting, but leadership will approve all final program descriptions, budgets, certifications, outcomes, and submissions. You may not exaggerate organizational capacity, results, partnerships, or program data. You may not submit an application without written authorization. Compensation is hourly or project-based. It will not be calculated as a percentage of funds sought or awarded. How to Apply Use the subject line: OCH GRANTS 2026 Include: Your résumé. A description of your U.S. nonprofit grant experience. A redacted writing sample, grant prospect profile, letter of inquiry, or proposal excerpt. A list of research tools and funding databases you have used. One example of an opportunity you recommended an organization pursue and why. One example of an opportunity you recommended an organization decline and why. A clear explanation of your role in any grants that were awarded. Do not imply that you secured an award if you only performed limited research or editing. Your weekly availability and desired hourly rate. Confirmation that you are willing to complete a paid research and writing assessment. Paid Skills Assessment Finalists will receive a paid assessment of approximately four hours. Using publicly available and non-confidential information, the applicant may be asked to: Identify five potential funding opportunities. Rank them by fit. Explain eligibility and potential concerns. Create a short funding calendar. Draft a one-page letter-of-inquiry outline. Identify several possible corporate sponsors.

B2B Software Sales Specialist — US Market

Confidential employer

JOB TYPE: Part-time (20–25 hrs/week), OR full-time 40 hours per week SALARY: $7 - 8/hour paid + commission (20,000–100,000 per closed sale) HOURS: US Eastern Time business hours Read this whole post before applying. Applications that skip the instructions at the bottom will not be opened. What this is We are a small US software company. We built a Windows application that completely automates the billing and paperwork for a very specific American professional: an independent vocational rehabilitation case manager who helps injured workers return to work, and who bills the state workers' compensation system for her time. Right now she types the same information four separate times — into a daily spreadsheet, a weekly written report, a claim form, and a payment tracker — then faxes it. Our software means she types it once and everything else generates automatically. Our first customer went from losing entire mornings on paperwork, to just being able to complete it all in minutes. Nobody else has built this. There is no competitor. She has never had a software company understand her job. Your job is to find these people, get them on the phone, and get them to look at it. Why this role is unusual — please read carefully This is not a volume dialing job. If you are looking for a job where you make 80–150 calls a day, this is the wrong post and you will hate this work. There are only about 100–150 of these professionals in the state we're starting with. That is the entire market. We cannot buy more of them. That means every single call matters. Burning through the list with a rushed pitch destroys the campaign permanently. We need someone who will make 40 excellent calls a week, not 400 mediocre ones. You will spend as much time researching who these people are as you will spend calling them. Who you'll be calling Typically a woman, 45 to 65 years old, who has run her own practice for 15 to 30 years. She works alone, often from home. She has a master's degree and professional certifications. She handles confidential medical information. She is not technical and does everything in Word and Excel by choice. She has almost no online presence. She has never been called by a software company that understood her job. High-energy, high-pressure selling will fail instantly with this person. She responds to someone who has clearly done their homework, asks good questions, and is patient. Your credibility comes entirely from sounding like you understand her work. You will need to learn the US workers' compensation vocabulary — BWC, MCOs, W-codes, CMS-1500 forms. We'll train you and pay you while you learn it. But you have to be the kind of person who can absorb a technical subject and speak about it confidently within a week. What you'll actually do Research and verify who is genuinely still practising (many public listings are outdated) Manually dial — no auto-dialers, for US legal compliance Have real conversations: ask about their process, find where the pain is Book demos for our team Ask for referrals — this community is invisible online and they all know each other Keep detailed notes; with a list this small, everything you learn is valuable Report back on what you're hearing so we can improve the approach The first week is genuinely exploratory: validating the list, testing angles, and learning what actually resonates. We're not expecting sales in week one. We're expecting intelligence. Requirements — please be honest with yourself You must have: 3+ years of B2B outbound phone sales to the US market Experience selling software or SaaS to small businesses or solo professionals (not enterprise, not consumers) Experience representing a company the prospect has never heard of A track record of learning a technical or regulated field (healthcare, insurance, legal, finance, compliance) Genuinely consultative style — you ask questions before you pitch Clear, calm, natural English. Warmth matters more than a perfect accent. Reliable internet, quiet workspace, good headset Ability to work US Eastern Time business hours Big plus: Sold into US healthcare, medical billing, insurance, or workers' compensation Have done customer discovery or research interviews for a startup Have built your own prospect lists Have worked a niche market with under 1,000 total possible customers Please do not apply if: Your background is only inbound sales and customer service You measure your work in calls per day Your experience is only for generic lead generation (SEO, web design, solar, insurance, credit repair) You need a script to have a conversation You would describe yourself as "money hungry" — this list needs patience, not hunger Compensation Paid pilot week: $7–8 USD/hour for 20–25 hours, based on experience. No sales targets. You'll research, call, explore, and write up what you learn. After the pilot, for the right person: Base: $7–8 USD/hour 2,500 per demo booked that actually happens 20,000 per closed solo customer 35,000 per closed professional-tier customer 75,000–100,000 per multi-user practice customer This can be a short project or a long-term role. That depends on results, and honestly, on whether you enjoy it. If this campaign works, there are five more US states behind it. How to apply — follow this exactly 1. Subject line must be exactly: VOCREHAB SPECIALIST — [Your Name] 2. In your message, answer these three questions briefly: What software or SaaS product have you sold to US small businesses, and what did it do? What is the most technical or complicated subject you've had to learn in order to sell something? Why does a market with only 150 possible customers require a different approach than a big one? 3. Record a voice message at ---------- and paste the link in your application. Go to ---------- , click record, speak for 5 to 10 minutes, then paste the share link into your application. Please speak naturally. Do not read from a script or from anything AI-written — we can tell immediately, and it's an automatic no. We want to hear how you actually talk on a call. Cover these four things, in order: (a) Walk us through one specific B2B deal you sold. Name the company, what they did, what they were using before, what their objection was, and what changed their mind. (b) Tell us about a product you had to learn from scratch. How did you learn it, and how long before you were comfortable talking to prospects about it? (c) Answer this out loud, exactly as you would on a real call: You've called a 55-year-old woman in Ohio who has run her own vocational rehabilitation practice for 25 years. She does all her billing by hand in Word and Excel. She's never heard of you or our company. Thirty seconds into the call she says: "I've been doing this for 25 years. I don't need software." Say word for word exactly what you would say next. (d) Tell us about a deal you lost, and what you would do differently now. **Applications missing the Vocaroo link will not be reviewed. Applications with the wrong subject line will not be opened. We're looking for one person. We'd rather wait for the right one.

People Operations Specialist (Full-Time, Remote)

Confidential employer

We're a fast-growing company going through a lot of change — and honestly, our HR side hasn't kept up. No handbook, no real onboarding system, no KPI structure, no payroll process that's actually documented. We need someone to come in and build all of this from the ground up. This is NOT a maintenance role. If you're the type who wants to just run existing systems, this isn't for you. We need a builder — someone who can look at chaos and turn it into structure that people actually use and follow. *What you'll be building:* HR Foundation Employee handbook (policies, PTO, code of conduct, remote work rules, anti-harassment, confidentiality) Full onboarding system: new hire checklists, welcome email sequences, ---------- day plans, training roadmaps Documentation for every role: responsibilities, KPIs, reporting lines, success metrics Org chart (current + future state), including contractor vs. employee designations Recruiting & Hiring Standardized hiring process: interview scorecards, evaluation forms, reference check process, offer letter templates Recruiting assets: job posting templates, career page recommendations, candidate communication templates (rejections, follow-ups) Performance Management Performance review system: 30-day, 90-day, annual reviews + PIP template (managers handle the actual conversations) KPI and accountability framework per role: weekly KPIs, monthly scorecards, success metrics Compliance & Risk Core employment docs: offer letters, independent contractor agreements, NDAs, non-solicitation agreements, acknowledgment forms HR compliance audit: employee vs. contractor classification, multi-state compliance, payroll processes, labor law postings, personnel file requirements Culture & Retention Employee recognition program: values-based recognition, monthly awards, anniversary milestones, referral program Engagement framework: stay interviews, exit interviews, surveys, structured feedback loops Payroll Understand our current payroll setup, then build and implement a proper process/system around it *What we need from you:* Real experience building HR systems and policies — not just administering ones someone else built Solid knowledge of employment law, compliance, and multi-state HR considerations Strong written communication — you'll be writing policies people actually read and follow Highly organized — you'll juggle multiple workstreams across all these areas at once Comfortable working independently, remotely, in a fast-moving environment Kindly send your updated resume and a 1-2min self intro to proceed, thank you!

FULL-TIME SHORT-FORM VIDEO EDITOR — 10 ADS PER DAY, DAYTIME HOURS, LONG-TERM SEAT

Confidential employer

FULL-TIME SHORT-FORM VIDEO EDITOR — 10 ADS PER DAY, DAYTIME HOURS, LONG-TERM SEAT Read this entire post before applying. If you skim it, you will fail the application in the first five seconds and we will both have wasted our time. That is not a threat — it's a favor. This job is not for most people, and I'd rather you find that out now. WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS We run paid video ads at real scale. We need volume, every single day, forever. Your job: produce 10 short-form video ads per day. Different products, different angles, same relentless output. Most of these are not creative masterpieces. Be clear-eyed about what you'd be doing: Simple product ads built from footage, images and assets we hand you. Recreating proven ad structures. We give you a reference ad that's working in the market — you rebuild that format with OUR product, OUR footage, OUR copy. You're reproducing a structure, not copying someone's file. Working from our swipe file. We keep a reference library of formats that convert. You'll learn it, internalize it, and pull from it fast. High-volume iteration on winners. When an ad performs, you spin out 10 variations designed to beat it. New hook, new opening 3 seconds, new caption style, new music, new order. Hooks, captions, pacing, sound. Fast. Clean. Consistent. Every day. This is not a job where you get to be an artist. This is a job where you get to be the most reliable person in the company. If the word "volume" makes you tired, stop reading. If the idea of one client, one seat, work handed to you every morning, no invoice-chasing, no pitching, no ten-clients juggling act — if that sounds like relief — keep reading. WHAT WE ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT, IN THIS EXACT ORDER You show up. Every scheduled day. Not "most days." Not "I had internet problems." Every day. You clear the day's list. Around 10 ads a day on average. Consistently. You stay. We are building a team, not renting a freelancer for two months. Your editing is good enough — and gets better. Notice that skill is fourth on this list. That is not a mistake. We can teach you our formats, our hooks, our caption style, our pacing — we have a whole system for it, and the person who reads this carefully and types “semla” as the first word in the title when applying for this job is already showing me the exact trait I'm hiring for. It is not mentioned in the title structure, but it is supposed to be the first word, then the title structure. What we cannot teach is a person who is at their desk at the same time every day for the next two years. If you have that, and your edits are decent, you will beat a more talented editor who disappears for three days without a message. HOURS — AND YES, THEY'RE NORMAL ONES Monday to Saturday, 8 hours per day, on Philippine time. Roughly 09:00–18:00 PHT with a break. We'll lock your exact hours together before you start. No graveyard shift. No night work. No waiting up until 2am for a Western client. I start my own day very early, so I'm already online and reachable through most of your workday. You get to sleep at night like a normal human being. Occasional Sunday pushes when a launch demands it. Paid extra, never assumed, never unpaid. You keep your regular Philippine holidays. Tell us in advance, that's all. If you cannot commit to six days a week, every week, do not apply. That is the entire job. PAY — READ THIS PART SLOWLY This is a real monthly salary, not piece work. I am not going to pay you per clip and have you racing to grab the easy ones. Some ads take five minutes. Some take an hour. You get paid for clearing the day, not for counting files. Monthly salary: $520 USD. Paid twice a month, on time, every time. We have never missed a payment and we never will. On top of that: $60 USD consistency bonus, every month you clear your daily list on every scheduled day with zero missed days. This is the easiest money in the job and it is entirely within your control. $50 USD push bonus in any month where you clear meaningfully more than your assigned lists — when we ask for a surge before a launch and you actually deliver it. $15 USD per winner. Any ad of yours that becomes a top performer in our account. Uncapped, and this is the real upside. More ads out the door means more chances at a winner, which is exactly why we don't need to pay you by the clip to make you fast. Your first raise comes after ONE month. Not six. Not "we'll see." One month. The raise ladder, in writing: When Monthly salary With bonuses, realistically Start $520 ~$580–630 After 1 month $550 ~$610–660 After 3 months $580 ~$640–690 After 6 months $620 ~$680–730 Every step is automatic if you're still clearing your lists. It goes into your agreement on day one. You will never have to ask me for a raise, and I will never "forget." I put the first raise at one month on purpose. Most clients dangle a raise at six months and half of them never pay it. I'd rather prove to you inside four weeks that when you deliver, the number actually moves — and then keep proving it. Winner bonuses sit on top of every row above. How the daily target actually works. Every morning you get a list. On a light day that might be twelve quick iterations off a winner. On a heavy day it might be six builds from raw footage. I size the list, not you — so you are never punished for drawing the hard jobs, and never rewarded for cherry-picking the easy ones. Ten a day is the average we're aiming for across a week, not a rule applied to every single day. What counts as done: delivered on time, follows the brief, correct format and aspect ratio, captions clean, no technical errors. Not a taste judgment. If I send something back I tell you exactly why in one sentence, and it counts once you fix it. WHO SHOULD NOT APPLY Please save us both the time. Do not apply if: You are juggling other clients and this would be "one of them." You need creative freedom and ownership to feel motivated. Your internet is unreliable and you have no backup connection. You have no plan for brownouts or power cuts. You cannot work six days a week. You want to negotiate the salary upward before you've proven a single month. You are looking for a placeholder while you search for something better. You want to "grow into a Creative Director role." That's not this seat. I'm not being harsh for fun. I hired for this before and lost good people because they wanted a different job than the one I actually had. This time I'm describing it exactly. HOW TO APPLY — THIS IS THE FIRST TEST Ninety percent of applicants will get this wrong. That's the point. 1. Subject line, formatted EXACTLY like this: | [most short-form ads you've ever finished in ONE day] | [main editing software] | [hours/day you can work] | [days/week you can work] | [your download speed from speedtest.net] Example: XXXXXX | 8 | CapCut | 8 | 6 | 45mbps The codeword is written somewhere in this post. I'm not telling you where. If you actually read the whole thing, you already have it. Wrong format, missing codeword, missing a field — deleted unread. No exceptions, no second chances. 2. Your message must contain these six things, in this order, and nothing else: Line 1 — The most finished edits you have ever delivered in a single day. Who was it for, and what were they. One or two real sentences. Generic answers are deleted. Your setup — Computer and specs. Internet provider and speed. Backup internet. What you do when the power goes out. Be specific and boring. "I have good internet" is a failed answer. Longevity — The longest you have ever stayed in one role or with one client. How long, and why it ended. Be honest. A short history with an honest reason beats an inflated one. Your work — 2 to 3 links to short-form ads or edits you made. Not a reel. Pick the ones closest to simple product ads. Your judgment about what to show me is part of the test. One honest answer — What would make you quit this job? Everyone has a breaking point. Tell me yours. I trust the person who names it far more than the person who says "nothing." Last line — Your single most-used keyboard shortcut while editing, and what you use it for. Do not attach a generic CV. It will not be read. THE THREE STAGES Stage 1 — The application above. Takes 20 minutes if you're serious. Most people won't do it. Stage 2 — The volume test. Unpaid. If your application is sharp, I send you a folder of raw footage and one reference format. You deliver 3 finished ads within 24 hours. I am not grading beauty. I am grading: did you follow the brief exactly, did you deliver on time, and did you ask smart questions instead of guessing. This is a real preview of the daily job. Stage 3 — Paid trial week. Full structure, real work, real feedback. This is where the seat is won. WHAT YOU GET IF YOU WIN IT One client. One team. Daytime hours. Same work, same people, every day. A real monthly salary paid on time, twice a month, without you ever having to ask. A raise on a schedule, not on a whim — the first one after four weeks. Direct feedback from someone who will tell you exactly what's wrong so you can fix it and get better fast. If you're the kind of person who is tired of chasing clients and just wants a seat, a number to hit, and to be paid reliably for hitting it — this is that. Show me you can follow instructions. That's the whole first test.

Sales Assistant for U.S.-Based B2B Sales Team — Excellent English Required (Full-Time, Remote)

Confidential employer

About Us We're a U.S.-based B2B appointment-setting company. We help businesses fill their calendars with qualified sales meetings — and we've been doing it for years. We're growing, and we need a sharp, detail-obsessed sales assistant to support one of our senior sales leaders directly. This isn't a call center role. This isn't data entry. This is a real seat on a real sales team — and the right person is going to learn a TON about how B2B sales actually works in the U.S. market. What You'll Actually Do 1. Lead Sourcing (the core of the role) Source qualified leads using LinkedIn Sales Navigator (we'll provide access) Hunt for leads through organic search across a variety of websites Vet the quality of every lead by checking their website AND their social media pages — we don't want junk leads, we want REAL prospects Build clean, organized lead lists ready for our sales team to act on 2. Follow-Up Support Assist our sales team with follow-up strategy on every recent prospect meeting Make sure NO lead falls through the cracks — ever Help draft and track follow-up communications 3. Sales Calendar & Pipeline Organization Organize and maintain our sales team's calendar Track every deal: closed sales, likely sales needing proposals, leads that need follow-up now, leads to nurture for later, and leads that didn't convert Keep our pipeline clean, current, and actionable 4. Other things as needed — this role will likely grow into more responsibilities over time. We're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. The Real Goal of This Role Simple: Everyone who intends to buy actually DOES buy. And everyone who needs follow-up actually GETS IT. If you can own that outcome, you'll do well here. What We Need From You EXCELLENT spoken English — clear, professional, easy to understand EXCELLENT written English — proper grammar, professional tone, no awkward phrasing Strong attention to detail (we'll test this) Comfort with LinkedIn Sales Navigator (or willingness to learn fast) Reliable internet, quiet workspace, working headset/mic Organized, self-directed, and proactive — we don't want to chase you Available 40 hours/week aligned with U.S. business hours Compensation & Growth a. $200 USD/week to start (40 hrs/week, paid as an independent contractor) b. This will average $866 USD / MO, though months with 4 pay periods will equal $800 USD and months with 5 pay periods will equal $1000 USD c. Room to grow. As you prove yourself and take on more, your pay grows with you. We're not interested in keeping good people underpaid — we're interested in building a long-term team. d. 13th Month paid as long as you're a contractor in good standing with us as of Jan 1 of each year. How to Apply — READ THIS CAREFULLY We get a lot of applications. To make sure we only talk to serious, sharp candidates, please complete the following homework and include it in your application. Applications without the homework will not be reviewed. Homework (please answer all four): 1. Record a 60-90 second audio or video introduction. Tell us: who you are, your relevant experience, and why you'd be great in this role. (Upload to Google Drive, Loom, or YouTube unlisted and share the link.) 2. Go to LinkedIn and find 3 U.S.-based companies that match this profile: B2B service businesses with 10-50 employees, headquartered in the Midwest United States. For each company, give us: Company name and website The name and title of the most likely decision-maker for hiring an outsourced sales/appointment-setting service One specific reason (based on their website or social media) why they might be a good fit for our service 3. Write a short follow-up email (under 150 words) to a hypothetical prospect named "Mark" who took a sales meeting with us last Tuesday, said he was "very interested," but hasn't responded to two email s since. The tone should be professional, warm, and create urgency without being pushy. 4. Answer this question in 3-5 sentences: "A lead tells you they're 'definitely interested' but keeps rescheduling the proposal call. What do you do?" Subject line for your application: Please use this exact subject line so we know you read the whole post: "Sales Assistant Application — [Your First Name] — I Read the Whole Post" We'll review every application that includes the complete homework. If we like what we see, we'll invite you to a short interview over Zoom. Looking forward to meeting you.
