About the Role

Brand & Merchandise Graphic Designer

What-A-Treat Heating & Cooling is a fun, ice-cream-themed home comfort brand launching in Houston, Texas in January 2027. We have a bold brand, a mascot, and a long list of things to design. We need a talented designer to bring it all to life.

What you'll design

  • Team apparel: polos, quarter-zips, hoodies, tees, hats and rain jackets
  • Swag and giveaways: umbrellas, lanyards, badge reels, crayon boxes, event tents and more
  • Brand stationery: offer letters, letterhead, customer folders, business cards and flyers
  • Manufacturing spec sheets: clear, factory-ready documents for every merch item, built and stored in Canva

How you'll work:

  • Follow our brand guide exactly (Pantone colors, logo versions and fonts)
  • Present 2–3 proof options for every project to our selection team
  • Take feedback and turn around edits quickly, usually within 24 hours
  • Once a design is approved, create a spec sheet the manufacturer can build from: dimensions, materials, Pantone colors, logo placement and size, print or embroidery method, sizes and quantities
  • Build a reusable spec sheet template in Canva so every new item follows the same format
  • Deliver print-ready files (vector, correct sizes and colors) for our manufacturers
  • Keep all files organized in our Canva account

You have:

  • 2+ years of graphic design experience, with merch, apparel or print work in your portfolio
  • Strong skills in Canva Pro; Adobe Illustrator is a big plus
  • Experience preparing artwork for screen printing, embroidery or sublimation
  • Experience writing tech packs or spec sheets for manufacturers (a big plus)
  • An understanding of Pantone (PMS) colors and vector logo files
  • Good English and a great attitude toward feedback
  • Stable internet with backup power

Schedule: 4PM - Midnight CST (Central US Time)

Pay: $4-6/Hr

To apply: Send your resume and a portfolio link with at least 3 merch or apparel designs, 1 stationery piece, and 1 spec sheet or tech pack if you have one. Start your message with the word "SPRINKLES" so we know you read the whole post.

Finalists complete a paid test project: design 2 proof options for a branded quarter-zip pullover, a one-page manufacturing spec sheet in Canva for the winning option, and 1 offer letter from our brand guide.
