The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Furniture Designer proficient in CET Designer to become a remote design partner for Beckon.

This is a project-based opportunity, not an hourly position.
We'll provide project requirements, scope, and deliverables. You'll review each assignment and submit your proposed fee before accepting the work.

You control how efficiently you complete the work, while Beckon expects professional-quality deliverables, accuracy, and agreed-upon deadlines.

As we grow, we anticipate opportunities for consistent assignments, larger projects, and potentially a full time position.
What You'll Do

• Create commercial furniture layouts and space plans using CET Designer.
• Develop full-floor plans and workstation configurations.
• Produce high-quality 3D renderings and visual presentations.
• Prepare client presentations using PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools.
• Assist with furniture specifications and proposals.
• Revise drawings and presentations based on client feedback.
• Maintain organized project files and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
• Communicate directly with Beckon's U.S.-based team and participate in virtual meetings when needed.

Required Experience

• Strong, hands-on proficiency with CET Designer.
• Professional commercial furniture design experience.
• Space planning, CAD, and furniture layout expertise.
• 3D rendering and presentation development.
• Knowledge of commercial office environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Reliable internet and professional home office setup.

Preferred: Experience with U.S. commercial furniture manufacturers, furniture dealerships, specifications, and proposal development.

Compensation & Project Structure

This is a project-based compensation arrangement.

For each assignment:

1. Beckon provides the project scope and deliverables.
2. You review the requirements and submit your proposed fee.
3. We agree on compensation, timeline, and expectations.
4. You complete the work and deliver the agreed-upon files.

No hourly tracking. No fixed weekly schedule. Compensation is based on agreed-upon project fees.
We value designers who combine quality, efficiency, and accountability.
