About us

We are a property management company in Los Angeles. We run the business on our own software: leasing, maintenance, inspections, move-ins and move-outs, tenant and owner portals, staff hours, payroll and accounting. We build it with Claude, an AI that writes the code.

The role:
You run the day-to-day development of that software. You d ---------- what needs building or fixing, instruct Claude, test the result, and make sure staff can use it.
You don't need to code. You do need to know accounting and how business systems are set up, well enough to spot when a number is wrong and find out why.
One hour it's a wrong label on a screen. The next it's an owner statement that won't balance. You report to the head of technology.

What you'll do:
Write clear instructions for Claude to build features and fix problems.
Test every change in our test environment before it goes live.
Take bug reports from staff, find the cause, get it fixed, and confirm with them.
Answer staff questions about the system using the actual records.
Keep the system documentation current.
Know how money moves: rent, owner payouts, management fees, vendor bills, security deposits, payroll, bank accounts.
When the bank, Buildium and owner ledgers disagree, find the reason and get it corrected.
Make sure no payment leaves the system without a person approving it.
You troubleshoot to the root cause, not the symptom.

Nice to have:
Daily use of Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot at work.
US property management accounting: owner statements, security deposits, trust reconciliations.
Business systems analyst or ERP consultant background.
Payroll experience (Gusto or similar).

What the first 90 days will look like:
Days 1-30: learn the software and how to work with Claude, starting with small fixes.
By day 90: own bug reports and staff questions end to end, shipping fixes across the system.

Requirements:
Degree in accounting, finance or accounting information systems.
Solid accounting knowledge: reconciliations, AP and AR. Trust accounting a plus.
Experience setting up or running a business system: accounting software, ERP, CRM, or property management software (Buildium, AppFolio, Yardi).
Excellent written English.
Can juggle many tasks, from quick fixes to complex accounting questions.
No coding needed. SQL, advanced spreadsheets or automation experience a plus.
No 2025 or 2026 graduates.

Benefits:
Paid training
Work from home
Promotion path
Performance-based raises
Company Christmas gift
