Senior Scheduling Care Coordinator (US Home Care, US Eastern Hours)

We are a growing US home care company (7 offices, about 500 caregivers) hiring an experienced, full-time Senior Scheduling Care Coordinator. This is not an entry-level role. You keep every client staffed with the right caregiver for every authorized hour. Most of the day is phone, text and our scheduling system (WellSky): a caregiver calls off at 6am, a client comes home from the hospital with new hours, a family wants a different caregiver. You fix it, document it, and make sure our field care coordinator knows. Long-term role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and maintain client schedules in WellSky against the plan of care, authorized hours and client preferences
• Fill open shifts and call-offs fast, before they become missed visits; look ahead and fix next week's gaps early
• Update schedules for hospitalizations, discharges and hour changes; tell caregivers and families what changed
• Match caregivers to clients by skills, availability, distance and fit; brief caregivers before first shifts and follow up after
• Work the team's task queue (timesheets, care logs, coverage) to close, same day
• Make sure scheduled hours match payer authorizations so billing is clean
• Answer caregivers, families and case managers by phone and text
• Take a turn on the after-hours on-call rotation

MUST HAVE

• 3+ years of US scheduling in home care, home health or healthcare staffing (general call center or VA work does not count)
• Experience scheduling against payer authorizations (Medicaid waiver, VA, long-term care insurance)
• Excellent spoken and written English; you are the voice our clients and caregivers hear
• Able to work full US Eastern business hours, 8:30am-5:00pm ET (night shift in the Philippines)
• Calm when three things break at once, and you close every open item
• Stable internet, backup power or internet, a quiet private workspace and a headset

STRONGLY PREFERRED

• WellSky/ClearCare, AxisCare, AlayaCare, HHAeXchange or similar home care software
• RingCentral or similar phone system
