YouTube Video Editor + Motion Graphics (work with a 1M+ sub creator & channel)

WHO WE ARE

Compound One Studios makes long-form YouTube videos for different finance and investing channels. We are the team behind New Money, one of the biggest investing channels on YouTube with over 1 million subscribers. Our work is taking a complicated money topic and making it clear and easy to watch.

THE JOB

We're hiring one full-time YouTube editor who can make good motion graphics to own videos from first cut to final export. That's around 6+ long-form videos a month, usually 10 to 25 minutes each.

You'll:

• Shape raw footage into a video people want to keep watching: the hook, the pacing, the story.
• Work out what should be on screen so a complicated money idea becomes easy to understand.
• Build charts, numbers and explainer animations, using motion graphics you build, as well as some of our templates. We don't mind if you use AI tools too, as long as the quality is high, we don't mind how we get the best results.
• Check that every number on screen is right, and speak up when something doesn't add up.
• Finish sound, colour and export to our checklists.

WHAT YOU NEED

• At least 2 years editing long-form YouTube videos (8+ minutes) for clients.
• Premiere Pro and After Effects or similar.
• Examples of graphics you made that explain something, not just templated animations that decorate the screen.
• Good YouTube retention instincts. You know why someone keeps watching and why they leave.
• Clear written and spoken English.
• Great attention to detail.
• A computer with 16 GB+ of RAM and a dedicated graphics card, plus reliable internet.
• An ability to tell us early, and communicate well if you are likely to miss a deadline or something is going to slip.

You don't need a finance background but a basic understanding of investing concepts is a big bonus. We can teach you. Curiosity and care with numbers matter more.

THE HARD PARTS

• We give a lot of detailed feedback, and every video goes through a checklist.
• Our videos are graphics heavy and the standard is high.
• This is an exclusive, full-time role of 40 hours a week. Sydney is 3 hours ahead of Manila, and we need a few hours of overlap each day with Sydney business hours.
