We’re looking for an experienced finance professional to work closely with our Finance Director, existing bookkeeper and logistics team. You’ll focus on accounting, reporting and reconciliations, with some related stock and logistics administration.
You’ll gain experience across an international product business, seeing how finance connects with purchasing, inventory, supplier relationships and retail and Amazon sales.
What you will do

- Support month-end accounting, including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare UK VAT returns and supporting records, submitting returns following our Finance Director’s review and approval.
- Reconcile supplier statements, bank accounts, rebates and internal finance schedules, investigating differences and resolving queries.
- Support stock and landed-cost reconciliations, including checking goods received, stock movements and shipment discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate reporting schedules and help improve existing processes.
Our Finance Director retains final approval of financial reporting, VAT returns and payments.
What you will bring

- Strong UK accounting and VAT knowledge, with practical experience supporting month-end and preparing VAT returns.
- Excellent Excel skills, including lookup formulas, SUMIFS, pivot tables and reconciling transaction datasets.
- Clear written and spoken English, attention to detail and confidence investigating discrepancies.
Experience in e-commerce, retail, wholesale or another business handling physical stock would be particularly useful. Familiarity with Amazon transactions, commercial rebates or NetSuite saved searches would also be valuable.
Working hours
30–40 hours per week, agreed before starting. You must be available 09:00–11:00 UK time each working day, with remaining hours agreed with our Finance Director. This overlap must accommodate GMT and BST.
