ABOUT THE POSITION

Pottstown Construction is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy Technical Drafter & Design Support Specialist with proven expertise in 2020 Design Software to join our team.

This position will primarily support our Design Department by preparing construction drawings, technical plans, and design documentation. The role will also include following up with prospective customers who have requested estimates or consultations, particularly during weekends.

We are looking for someone with strong technical drafting experience, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Drafting and Design

• Prepare accurate construction drawings and technical plans
• Draft framing, plumbing, and electrical plans
• Create detailed construction layouts and design documentation
• Assist with kitchen and cabinet layouts using the 2020 Design software
• Work closely with the Design Department on project revisions and updates
• Maintain accurate and organized drafting files

Administrative and Design Support

• Enter and update customer selections in the company's project management system
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation
• Assist with design-related data entry and administrative tasks
• Support the Design Department with project coordination and documentation

Lead Follow-Up and Client Communication

• Promptly contact prospective customers who submit online estimates or request consultations
• Follow up with interested leads during weekends and assigned working hours
• Gather basic project information and assist with scheduling consultations
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications and follow-up activities
• Ensure prospective customers receive timely and professional responses

This is not a cold-calling or inbound call center position. Calls will primarily involve following up with prospective customers who have already expressed interest in our services.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with 2020 Design software, particularly for kitchen and cabinet layouts
• Proven experience in technical drafting, preferably in residential construction or remodeling
• Strong understanding of framing, plumbing, and electrical plans
• Proficiency in CAD or other professional drafting and design software
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Comfortable speaking professionally with U.S.-based customers
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software quickly
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work independently
• Must be available to work Saturday through Wednesday, 40 hours per week

COMPENSATON & WORK AGREEMENT

• Starting compensation is $8 per hour. Higher rates may be considered depending on experience, technical skills, and qualifications
