JOB OVERVIEW
DeepSky is committed to empowering entrepreneurs in the U.S. with financial clarity and actionable insights. We believe accurate and timely financial information is essential for business owners to make informed decisions and grow their companies.
We are looking for a results-driven Accounting Manager who takes ownership of accounting operations, leads a team of accounting professionals, and ensures the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial records.
At DeepSky, we value individuals who focus on delivering tangible outcomes rather than simply completing assigned tasks. We encourage independent thinking, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Our clients are U.S.-based businesses with annual revenues ranging from $1 million to $20 million. We provide outsourced accounting services, including day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end closing, and financial reporting.
As an Accounting Manager, your primary responsibility will be overseeing our accounting team and ensuring that financial data is accurate, complete, and delivered on time.
While occasional client communication will be required, this position is primarily focused on internal accounting operations, quality control, and team management. Senior leadership will continue to manage the majority of client relationships, financial advisory discussions, and strategic communications.
We are looking for someone who can independently manage daily accounting operations, identify problems before they escalate, and ensure the team consistently delivers high-quality work.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
+ Team Management & Accountability
Supervise and manage accounting associates responsible for multiple U.S.-based client accounts.
Assign tasks, establish priorities, and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Monitor team workloads, productivity, and work quality.
Review completed work and provide constructive feedback to improve accuracy and efficiency.
Train, mentor, and develop team members to strengthen their accounting knowledge and capabilities.
Identify performance issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Establish clear accountability and ensure team members take ownership of their responsibilities.
+ Accounting Accuracy & Quality Control
Oversee the accuracy and completeness of financial records across multiple client accounts.
Review bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction classifications.
Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies, unusual balances, and incomplete transactions.
Ensure proper recording of accruals, prepayments, and other accounting adjustments.
Review balance sheet accounts and supporting schedules to ensure financial information is reliable.
Maintain consistent accounting standards and internal controls across client accounts.
Escalate significant accounting issues to senior leadership with proposed solutions.
+ Month-End Closing & Financial Reporting
Oversee month-end closing processes for assigned clients.
Ensure all reconciliations, adjustments, and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time.
Review financial statements for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
Investigate unusual account balances and financial fluctuations.
Coordinate with accounting staff to resolve outstanding items before reporting deadlines.
Ensure financial records are properly organized and ready for senior management review.
+ Accounting Operations & Workflow Management
Oversee daily accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bookkeeping activities.
Monitor outstanding accounting tasks and ensure timely completion.
Maintain and improve accounting workflows, checklists, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Identify inefficiencies and implement practical solutions to improve team productivity.
Utilize cloud-based accounting software and automation tools to streamline operations.
Ensure proper documentation and consistency across client accounts.
+ Internal Communication & Coordination
Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding team performance, closing progress, and outstanding accounting issues.
Proactively identify potential delays, discrepancies, or operational challenges.
Communicate directly with clients when necessary to clarify transactions, obtain missing information, or resolve routine accounting matters.
Coordinate with senior leadership on complex accounting issues and client-related concerns.
Ensure accounting deliverables are completed with minimal need for daily supervision.

Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously.
Familiarity with ---------- and other accounting automation platforms.

This position requires working U.S. business hours to support our U.S.-based clients and internal team.
Candidates must be available for daily team coordination, internal meetings, accounting reviews, and reporting deadlines during designated U.S. business hours.
While DeepSky values flexibility and independent time management, consistent availability, accountability, and responsiveness during working hours are mandatory.
INITIAL 3-MONTH TRIAL PERIOD
During the initial three-month trial period, candidates will undergo onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
The evaluation will focus primarily on accounting accuracy, team management, operational efficiency, and the ability to independently oversee accounting workflows.
Successful candidates will continue in a full-time position with comprehensive company benefits.
