About the role

We're hiring a Social Media Manager to own Trade Launch's social presence end to end: the calendar, the team that produces it, and the results it drives. You report directly to the CMO, who sets the strategy. Your job is to turn that strategy into a calendar that ships on time, every day, across every channel.

Trade Launch is a business coaching company for painting contractors and home service owners. We help owners build the systems, team and sales engine to grow, drawing on the playbook behind a successful multi-million dollar painting company. Our content features our coaches, our clients and our team, and it has to sound like operators talking to operators.
We're looking for an elite, self-directed operator who can lead a small creative team, hold people accountable without being chased, and still jump in to edit and post themselves when it matters.

At a glance

Reports to: CMO
Manages: a content coordinator/scheduler and video editors
Channels: Instagram, Facebook , YouTube, TikTok, plus LinkedIn and others as they become relevant
Location: Remote (international candidates welcome)
Hours: Full-time, US Eastern business hours

What you'll own

The content calendar, through and through
Build and maintain a rolling monthly calendar at least 60 days ahead, mapped to our content pillars and funnel stages (top: reach, middle: educate, bottom: act).
Track every post from idea to published: footage status (have vs. need), editor assigned, draft, review, approval, scheduled, live.
Fold launches and campaigns into the calendar without being asked: webinars, events and conferences, course updates, client-story series, promotions.
Execution of the strategy
Take the CMO's high-level strategy (pillars, funnel mix, goals) and turn it into a channel-by-channel plan, formats, hooks and briefs.
Write clear editing briefs: the angle, the hook, the cut, reference examples, length and format per platform.
Repurpose long-form content (coaching calls, webinars, client stories, event footage) into short-form clips, carousels and posts across channels.
Write captions, hooks and on-screen text in the Trade Launch brand voice: confident, practical, operator-to-operator, never gimmicky.
People and production
Lead the content coordinator and video editors day to day: assign work, set deadlines, review quality and give direct feedback.
Run a weekly production meeting and send a weekly report (see Success below).
Chase content from coaches, leadership and our videographer: request footage, book filming, collect raw files and keep the pipeline full.
Resolve priority conflicts before they stall work
Hands-on creation
Edit short-form video yourself when it's faster or the bar is higher
Performance and growth
Own social KPIs: reach, follower growth, engagement, watch time, saves and shares, and leads or calls sourced from social.
Spot trends early and bring recommendations on what to test, kill or double down on. Trends only make the cut when they fit how Trade Launch operates.
Evaluate new channels and propose a plan when one is worth adding.

How success is measured

You'll be measured on output first, then results. In the first 90 days, success means the backlog is gone, the calendar is always 30 days ahead, and leadership no longer has to ask where anything stands.

First 30 days
Audit every channel, the current calendar and the full footage backlog.
Meet each editor, the coordinator, the coaches and leadership; learn the brand voice and target client.
Ship a complete next-month calendar with every post's status and owner.
Set up the weekly report and production meeting rhythm.

First 60 days
Daily (and 2x daily) posting on Instagram and Facebook with no missed days.
Backlog cleared or scheduled, including the client-story series.
A working footage pipeline with coaches: who films what, when, and where it lands.
First monthly performance review with recommendations.

First 90 days
Calendar consistently 60+ days ahead across all active channels.
YouTube and TikTok running on a set cadence; a recommendation on LinkedIn.
Measurable lift in reach, engagement and follower growth against the day-one baseline.
The team runs without leadership chasing any individual task.
Ongoing KPIs
Posts published vs. planned (target: 100%)
Calendar lead time (target: 60+ days)
Follower growth, reach, engagement rate, watch time, saves and shares per channel
Leads, webinar registrations and calls attributed to organic social
Turnaround time from raw footage to published post
Your weekly report (every week, no exceptions)
Links to every piece of work in progress
What shipped vs. what you said would ship last week
What will ship next week, by owner
Blockers and what you need, with a date

Highly organized with project management tools (ClickUp, Asana, Notion, Monday or similar) and scheduling tools (Meta Business Suite, Later, Metricool or similar).
