LinkedIn Executive Research & Lead Sourcing Specialist (Part-Time)
Confidential employer
I'm the founder of OnePivot, a U.S.-based executive career strategy business that works with accomplished senior leaders and executives navigating their next professional chapter.
I'm looking for a detail-oriented, resourceful researcher to help identify and qualify potential clients through LinkedIn.
This is not a traditional lead generation role focused on collecting hundreds of names or sending mass messages.
I'm looking for someone who can research professional backgrounds, recognize relevant career signals, and identify executives who may benefit from strategic career support.
What You'll Be Doing
Your primary responsibility will be identifying potential clients who fit our ideal client profile.
This includes:
- Researching LinkedIn profiles of Senior Directors, VPs, SVPs, and C-suite executives.
- Identifying individuals with substantial leadership experience, typically 20+ years.
- Reviewing career histories, professional backgrounds, and publicly available activity.
- Identifying potential career-transition signals, such as organizational changes, recent departures, extended tenure, or indications that someone may be considering their next professional move.
- Evaluating whether someone fits our ideal client profile.
- Maintaining an organized prospect database in Google Sheets.
- Documenting relevant observations and explaining why each prospect may be a good fit.
- Identifying patterns and opportunities to improve the quality of our prospecting.
Who I'm Looking For
Ideally, you have experience in one or more of the following areas:
- LinkedIn research and prospect sourcing.
- Recruiting, talent sourcing, or executive search research.
- B2B lead research involving senior-level decision-makers.
- Researching companies, leadership teams, and professional backgrounds.
You should also have:
- Excellent written English.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Experience using LinkedIn and Google Sheets.
- Comfort using AI tools to support research and organization.
- The ability to follow a defined process while recognizing when something requires further investigation.
- A reliable internet connection and the ability to work independently.
What This Role Is NOT
This is not a high-volume lead scraping or automated outreach position.
I'm not looking for someone to simply generate large lists of names.
Quality, relevance, and thoughtful research are much more important than volume.
You will not be responsible for sales calls, closing clients, or managing my social media.
Hours & Compensation
- Part-time: Approximately 5–8 hours per week initially.
- Compensation: $7–$10 USD per hour, depending on experience.
- Initial paid trial project.
- Opportunity to expand responsibilities and hours as we develop our working relationship.
- Flexible schedule with clear deliverables and regular communication.
How to Apply
Please include the following in your application:
1. A brief introduction describing your relevant experience.
2. Any experience researching senior executives or sourcing candidates through LinkedIn.
3. The tools you currently use for LinkedIn research and prospect tracking.
4. An example of how you determine whether someone is a qualified prospect rather than simply a name on a list.
5. Your hourly rate and weekly availability.
Please begin your application with the words "Executive Research" so I know you've read the full description.
I'm looking for someone who enjoys research, pays attention to details, and wants to develop a long-term working relationship.
