E-Commerce Developer| Digital Monetization Strategist Full-Stack Developer | Web Architect (business/product focus)

We’re looking for an experienced developer who understands business, not just websites.

We have a vision for a local community website in St. Albert, Alberta, connecting residents with useful content, local businesses, and services. We need someone who can help turn that vision into a practical business, build the platform, and develop ways for it to earn revenue.

This role involves much more than designing pages or following a task list. We need someone who can think through how the business should work, plan the smaller details, and take ownership of getting it launched.

Experience and skills we’re looking for:

Proven experience building and launching websites, with a portfolio.
Strong front-end and back-end development skills, including hosting, databases, and integrations.
Experience with e-commerce, subscriptions, payments, and automation.
Business judgment around pricing, operating costs, monetization, and conversions.
Knowledge of user experience, SEO, site speed, security, and analytics.

Strong ownership, attention to detail, realistic planning, and clear communication.
Experience with local directories, community platforms, marketplaces, sponsorship programs, or advertising-supported websites would be especially useful.
