Long-Form Real Estate YouTube Editor — Property Walkthroughs & Relocation Videos
Part-Time | Remote | Long-Term | $800–$1,100 USD/Month
I’m a full-time real estate agent creating videos for Living on the Alabama Gulf Coast, a YouTube channel helping people relocate to Baldwin County, Alabama.
I’m looking for an experienced editor who has already edited complete, host-led real estate property tours and long-form YouTube content.
Please apply only if you can show relevant finished videos. Short listing commercials, cinematic montages, and Reels alone do not demonstrate the experience needed for this role.
THE CONTENT
- Property walkthroughs and community tours: Usually 15–30 minutes. I’m on camera walking through homes, explaining features, and discussing the community.
- Talking-head and relocation videos: Usually 10–20 minutes, covering local communities, lifestyle, and moving to the area.
These videos should feel natural, informative, and conversational. Viewers need time to see the home and understand what I’m explaining. I want clean editing and good judgment, without excessive effects, constant animations, or unnecessarily fast cuts.
WEEKLY DELIVERABLES
The priority is two finished long-form YouTube videos per week.
Additional deliverables:
- One thumbnail for each long-form video
- Approximately two short clips per week repurposed from the finished videos
We’ll agree on the complete scope and deadlines before starting. Long-form quality and consistency come first.
EDITING RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove mistakes, repeated takes, unnecessary pauses, and distracting footage
- Preserve my natural speaking style and the logical flow of the walkthrough
- Incorporate supplied close-ups, local B-roll, community footage, and maps
- Add useful text overlays for home features and community information
- Clean and balance dialogue, music, and other audio
- Correct exposure, white balance, and color as needed
- Incorporate supplied branding and calls to action
- Create clear, appealing thumbnails using Canva, Photoshop, or similar software
- Organize footage, project files, and exports in Google Drive
- Follow feedback and deliver consistently
I provide the footage, content direction, branding references, and available local B-roll. You should be comfortable making editing decisions independently once you understand the channel’s style.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous editing work on complete, host-led real estate walkthroughs or relocation videos
- Strong long-form YouTube editing skills
- Excellent English comprehension
- Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Descript, or equivalent software
- Reliable communication and the capacity to deliver two long-form videos weekly
- Willingness to complete a short paid editing test
COMPENSATION & WORKFLOW
- $800–$1,100 USD monthly, depending on experience and agreed deliverables
- Part-time, with an initial planning allowance of approximately 20–25 hours weekly
- Long-term opportunity for the right person
Once our workflow is established, my target is approximately five hands-on editing hours for a standard long-form video using organized footage and established templates. More involved videos may require additional time, which should be discussed in advance.
Please distinguish actual editing hours from elapsed delivery time when describing your workflow.
We’ll start with a short paid test before making an ongoing commitment.
HOW TO APPLY
Begin your application with GULF COAST EDITOR and answer these five questions:
1. Relevant work: Share direct links to two complete, published long-form videos you personally edited. At least one must be a host-led real estate property walkthrough or relocation video. Explain exactly what you handled on each.
2. Software and experience: What editing software do you use, and what experience do you have working with real estate YouTube channels?
3. Production time: Approximately how many hands-on editing hours would you expect to spend on a standard 20-minute property walkthrough? Separately, what would your usual delivery time be after receiving the footage?
4. Availability and compensation: Can you consistently deliver two long-form videos, two thumbnails, and approximately two repurposed short clips weekly? State your available weekly hours and expected monthly compensation.
5. Paid test: Are you willing to complete a short paid editing test using our footage?
Please lead with your relevant videos rather than a general showreel. I’m looking for a dependable editing partner who understands this format and wants to work together long-term.
