About the Role

About Us
Premium Invention sells premium solar-powered security cameras direct to consumers in North America, the UK and Australia. Our customers are cabin owners, ranchers, and property managers -- practical, skeptical, and not tech-savvy. They need to trust this brand within 3 seconds of landing on the page. We test constantly and judge creative on revenue, not impressions. You'll work remotely with direct access to the design lead and CEO.
What You'll Own

  • Design marketing visuals for Amazon listings, A+ pages, the company website, paid ads and email campaigns
  • Edit and retouch product photos: compositing, masking, colour matching, perspective correction
  • Create ad creative for Meta, Google, email and social, static and animated
  • Design landing pages, banners and promotional materials in Figma
  • Build lifestyle scenes using AI tools, then composite the real product at correct size, angle, lighting and detail
  • Adapt designs across formats: social media, web, email , marketplace listings
  • Work from written English briefs and communicate progress, questions and blockers in English
  • Keep the asset library organized so anyone can find the approved version
  • Optimize the website experience across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • A/B test design variants for landing pages, product pages and CTAs
  • Build and maintain a design system and component library for visual consistency
  • Design comparison pages, FAQ layouts and trust-building sections
  • Collaborate with the Conversion Copywriter to make sure copy and design work together

This Role Is For You If

  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
  • Strong attention to detail -- precision and consistency in every deliverable
  • Solid foundation in typography, colour theory, composition, visual hierarchy and UX/UI fundamentals
  • Can translate a written brief into compelling visual content without compromising product accuracy, realistic proportions or real-world authenticity
  • Comfortable using AI-powered design and image-generation tools (Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, or similar) to accelerate concept development while maintaining visual consistency and product accuracy
  • Comfortable working across formats: online ads, social media, websites, email s and marketplace listings
  • Comfortable working in English -- written and spoken (MANDATORY). The briefs, feedback and the team all work in English
  • A portfolio showing photo editing, compositing, ad creative and marketing design. We need to see work made for Western consumers, or work that would clearly translate
  • E-commerce or DTC design experience -- you've designed product pages and landing pages that actually sell
  • Deep understanding of responsive design across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • Self-directed -- you spot problems and propose solutions, not wait for instructions
  • Comfortable receiving direct feedback and iterating quickly
  • Reliable internet, available 40 hours/week, comfortable with time tracking software (Hubstaff)

Strong Plus

  • Conversion-focused thinking: you understand how visual hierarchy, messaging and creative execution influence click-through, engagement and sales
  • Experience producing visuals for Western DTC or Amazon markets
  • Performance data on your creative (ROAS, CTR, conversion)
  • Basic motion graphics or animated ad creative

Bonus If

  • 3D rendering: Blender, KeyShot or similar
  • Hardware or security product experience
  • Video editing for short-form ads
  • UGC-style content creation

A Note on Pace
Daily output, same-day revisions, new briefs every week. During peak ecommerce seasons you'll juggle multiple campaigns at once under tight deadlines. The product line is expanding, so you'll be learning new hardware constantly and turning it into visuals that sell. It's a fit if you manage your own time well, handle pressure without dropping quality, and care about what the numbers say about your work.
If you build creative that sells, obsess over product accuracy, and can work from English briefs, we'd like to talk.
This Role Is Not For You If

  • Your portfolio is mostly SaaS dashboards or mobile apps
  • You think "premium" means adding animations, gradients, or dark mode
  • You need pixel-perfect mockups from someone else before you can start
  • You design for other designers, not real customers
  • You've never designed an e-commerce product page or landing page
  • You're not comfortable designing for mobile as a primary experience
