About Us
We are Amazing Drumming Monkeys, a much-loved Australian children's entertainment show combining live music, comedy, puppetry and plenty of audience participation.
We've been entertaining families for many years, performing at major festivals, theatres, schools and community events across Australia and sometimes internationally.
We have a fantastic show, years of wonderful footage, photographs, reviews and audience feedback. Now we're looking for a creative person to help us bring all of this together into professional, engaging marketing materials that capture the magic of what we do.
We're a small, friendly, independent business, and we're looking for someone who would genuinely enjoy becoming part of our journey.
What We're Looking For
We need a creative, organised and enthusiastic person with strong graphic design and video editing skills who can help us develop a professional collection of marketing assets.
We want someone who can do more than simply follow instructions. We'd love to find someone with a good creative eye, who can suggest ideas, understand our audiences and help us showcase why our show is so special.
Our initial priorities are
1. Professional Presentation & Booking Packs
Create a beautiful, engaging PDF presentation pack that we can send to theatres, festivals, venues, major events and entertainment buyers.
This should communicate the quality, personality and success of our show through great design, photography, reviews, touring history and audience testimonials.
We may also develop shorter versions for specific markets.
2. Promotional Videos for Different Audiences
Using our existing footage, photographs and reviews, create promotional videos tailored to different booking markets, including:
- Schools and educational performances
- Kindergartens and early childhood centres
- Music, arts and family festivals
- International festivals and overseas presenters
- Councils and local government events
- Agricultural shows, country fairs and community events
- Theatres, performing arts centres and major entertainment venues
Each market has different needs, and we'd like someone who understands how to tailor the message, footage and presentation accordingly.
3. Website Refresh
Once our new promotional materials are developed, we'd like help updating and improving our existing website using the new videos, photographs, testimonials and marketing content.
Experience with website design or updating websites would be an advantage, but it is built on the bandzoogle platform whihc is relatively easy to navigate.
4. Ongoing Marketing Asset Management
We regularly capture new footage, photographs, reviews and testimonials from our performances.
We'd love someone who can become familiar with our content library and keep our promotional materials fresh and up to date as new material becomes available.
How the Role Could Grow
Once our core marketing materials are established, we'd love to explore expanding the role to include:
- Creating and scheduling social media content
- Helping us reach potential venues, festivals and event organisers
- Researching new performance and touring opportunities
- Assisting with promotional campaigns for upcoming tours and festivals
- Developing new ideas to help grow the business
These are future possibilities rather than immediate requirements. Our first priority is finding someone who is excellent at creating professional marketing assets.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong graphic design skills, particularly Canva
- Excellent video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar)
- Experience creating professional PDF presentations, pitch decks or media kits
- Ability to work with existing video footage and photographs
- Good written English and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Creativity, initiative and the ability to work independently
- Reliable and organised
Bonus skills
- Website design or website content management
- Social media marketing
- Experience promoting entertainment, music, festivals or live events
- An understanding of Australian audiences
The Person We'd Love to Find
We're hoping to find someone who genuinely enjoys what we do!
Our show is fun, musical, playful and full of personality. We'd love to work with someone who connects with that energy and gets excited about helping us share it with more audiences.
Someone who takes pride in their work, brings their own creative ideas and enjoys seeing a small business grow.
We're not looking for a large agency or someone managing dozens of clients. We'd prefer to build a personal, ongoing working relationship with one talented person who gets to know our business.
This is an ongoing part-time opportunity, subject to the arrangement working well for both of us.
How to Apply
Please send us:
1. A short introduction about yourself and why this role interests you.
2. Examples of promotional videos you've created.
3. Examples of PDF presentations, media kits or pitch decks you've designed.
4. Your experience with Canva, video editing and websites.
5. Your hourly rate and how many hours you could offer within our AUD $100 weekly budget.
Important: Please include the word MONKEYS in the subject line of your application so we know you've read the advertisement.
We'd love to find someone creative, enthusiastic and reliable who wants to help us take Amazing Drumming Monkeys to the next level!
