App tester for Android phone

ABOUT US
We are a small startup in the Netherlands. Our app helps driving instructors plan lessons, get paid and follow their students, and helps students book lessons and study for their theory exam. It is already in use on iPhone, but it has never been tested on Android. That is where you come in. We will share the app name with the person we hire.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Install our test version from Google Play on your own Android phone
• Create your own test accounts and play both sides of the app, a student and an instructor, by switching accounts on one phone
• Follow a written test plan in 4 rounds: each role on its own, both roles working together (bookings, cancellations, chat, notifications), our newest features, and trying to break the app
• Use the phone like a careless real person would: airplane mode, weak signal, closing the app mid-task, large font size, saying no to permissions
• Report every bug in a shared document with the exact time, the screen, what you expected, what happened, and a screen recording
• Retest bugs after we fix them

The app is in Dutch. You do not need to speak Dutch. We give you a glossary, and Google Lens translates any screen. You only check whether things work and look right, not the Dutch wording.

Good work can lead to more testing rounds for future updates.

WHAT YOU NEED

• Your own Android phone (any recent model) that can screen record. Having an iPhone as well is a plus
• A Gmail account signed in on that phone
• Telegram , because all our communication happens there
• Stable internet
• Good written English, short and clear
• An eye for detail: you notice when a time, an amount or a name is wrong
• You report what you see, even small things, and you tell us early when you are stuck

ABOUT TIME ZONES
We are in Amsterdam, 7 hours behind Manila. Some steps need us to unlock something first, which can take until our morning. You keep working on other steps in the meantime. While testing, your phone is set to Amsterdam time. We explain how.
