Veterans Agents is hiring a Senior Technical Lead / Head of Web Development to take ownership of an established U.S. website and help complete and launch a new national technology platform.

• 5+ years professional development experience
• Proven experience building complex production websites/applications
• Have successfully participated in the development or launch of a national-scale website, technology company, startup, SaaS platform, marketplace, or similarly complex project
• Strong full-stack development experience
• Advanced experience with AI implementation
• Strong API/integration experience
• Strong understanding of website and application security
• Experience with technical SEO and website migrations
• Ability to lead other developers and review their work

Do not apply if your experience is primarily basic WordPress, Elementor, Shopify, simple business websites, or using AI to generate code you cannot personally explain.

THE PROJECT

We currently have:

• An established WordPress website with strong Google rankings
• A new national platform substantially developed in Replit
• Existing real estate tools, calculators, APIs, CRM integrations and national expansion plans

The objective is to move from the existing website into a much more advanced national platform without destroying our current SEO rankings, traffic or authority.

This is not simply a website redesign.

We are building a national real estate technology platform focused on military and veteran real estate.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

You should be highly experienced with most of the following:

• Next.js / React / TypeScript / JavaScript
• WordPress / PHP
• Modern full-stack architecture
• Replit and modern deployment environments
• AWS / Cloudflare / Vercel or similar
• PostgreSQL / MySQL / modern databases
• REST APIs / webhooks / OAuth
• Authentication and permissions
• Git / GitHub
• Performance and Core Web Vitals
• Technical SEO
• 301 redirects and large website migrations
• Structured data / schema
• Google Search Console / GA4 / GTM
• CRM and lead integrations
• Security / OWASP / API security / secrets management
• Backups / monitoring / disaster recovery

AI EXPERIENCE IS IMPORTANT

You must be current with modern AI development, including technologies such as:

• OpenAI and other LLM APIs
• AI agents
• RAG
• Semantic/vector search
• Embeddings
• Function/tool calling
• AI-powered applications
• Automated workflows
• AI integrations with APIs and databases

I want someone who stays current with the latest technology, not someone building websites the same way they did five years ago.

YOU WILL LEAD THE TECHNICAL SIDE

I do not expect you to personally complete every individual task.

If hiring another developer, designer, SEO specialist, security expert or other contractor will allow us to launch faster, you should be able to identify that person and manage their work.

However, you must be technically strong enough to:

• Review their code
• Evaluate their work
• Identify bad architecture
• Catch security problems
• Make final technical decisions

You will essentially become the technical owner of the platform.
