Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer: Finish and Launch Our AI Apps

Full-time, 40 hours/week, with at least 4 hours overlapping 9am–5pm US Central Time.
Salary: $1,800–$3,000 USD/month, based on experience.

We’re a US company with several AI apps that are mostly built but not finished. We don’t need more features. We need a senior engineer who can take these apps across the finish line so real customers can use them every day without problems.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK WITH

A consumer finance app that handles sensitive customer data and documents (FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Next.js)
Browser automation (Playwright)
AI features using the Claude and OpenAI APIs
Website, chat and messaging assistants (Vercel, Python, GoHighLevel)
Payments, mail and SMS integrations
A Linux VPS on DigitalOcean

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Audit each app and give us an honest list of what works, what’s broken and what’s missing
Fix bugs and complete the customer journey from signup to finished result
Test AI features against real scenarios, including wrong answers and attempts to trick them
Set up secure hosting, automated backups with tested restores, secrets management, monitoring and alerts
Put all code in Git, with automated tests and a safe way to deploy and roll back
Run supervised live tests, then launch and support each app
Write simple documentation so someone else could run the system

WHAT “DONE” MEANS
A real customer can complete the whole process without our help. Tests pass, backups restore, errors alert us, and every launch step has been proven live.

REQUIREMENTS

5+ years of professional software development
Strong Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Production experience with FastAPI or similar, PostgreSQL, Docker and Redis
You’ve shipped at least one app using an LLM API to real users
You’ve handled sensitive customer data securely
Clear written English and honest status updates, including when something is broken or you’re stuck
Reliable computer, internet and backup power

NICE TO HAVE

Playwright, GoHighLevel, payment or webhook integrations
Fintech or other regulated-industry experience
