Video Editor & Social Media Production Specialist
Confidential employer
WebDone is a UK website and marketing agency working with small businesses. We’re looking for a skilled video editor who can also produce polished social media content using existing brand templates.
This is a part-time, ongoing opportunity for someone who can take a clear brief, make good creative decisions and deliver finished work reliably.
THE ROLE
Video editing is the main focus. You’ll turn supplied footage, copy and creative direction into engaging reels, short videos and paid social ads.
You’ll also produce carousels and static posts using our existing templates, prepare content for approval and upload approved assets into our scheduling system.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edit short-form videos for Instagram, Facebook , TikTok and other social platforms.
- Select strong footage and create effective openings, clear stories and well-paced edits.
- Add accurate captions, text overlays, music, sound effects and appropriate audio treatment.
- Produce branded carousels and static posts from supplied copy and templates.
- Check spelling, branding, audio, framing and export settings before submitting work.
- Apply feedback carefully and consistently.
- Keep project files, versions and final exports organised.
- Work to an agreed content calendar and flag missing materials or deadline risks early.
- Upload and schedule approved content, following our approval process.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- A strong portfolio of short-form video editing.
- Good judgement around pacing, footage selection, typography and sound.
- Confident use of your chosen editing software, such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or CapCut.
- Ability to work with Figma templates, or willingness to learn.
- Strong written English and attention to detail.
- Reliable communication and realistic time estimates.
- Ability to follow different client brands without making every video look the same.
Experience producing paid social ads or using GoHighLevel is useful, but not essential.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
You’ll work alongside our founder, content coordinator and designer. We provide briefs, brand guidance, approved messaging, templates and available footage.
We want your creative judgement on how to execute the brief. You should be comfortable asking useful questions, suggesting improvements and taking responsibility for the finished asset.
HOURS AND PAY
- Initially around 10 hours per week, with potential to increase as workload grows.
- $8–$10 USD per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability to independently deliver finished, publish-ready content.
- Your rate will be agreed before any paid work begins.
- Flexible working hours, with agreed availability for communication with our UK team.
- Workload and deadlines agreed in advance.
OUR HIRING PROCESS
1. Application and portfolio review.
2. A short paid editing task for shortlisted applicants. The brief, payment and deadline will be agreed beforehand.
3. Two finalists will be invited to a paid two-week trial with agreed hours.
4. We intend to offer one candidate the ongoing position.
Both finalists will know that there is one ongoing position. All agreed trial work will be paid, whether or not you are selected.
HOW TO APPLY
Please use the subject line “WebDone Video Editor” and include:
1. Three relevant video examples, including a paid social ad if available. Explain exactly which parts you created.
2. One example of a carousel or static social post you produced, if available.
3. Your editing software and experience with Figma.
4. Your requested hourly rate within the advertised range.
5. Your weekly availability, time zone and earliest start date.
6. A rough estimate of how long a typical 30-second reel takes you, including what affects that estimate.
7. A brief example of how you handled an unclear brief or missing footage.
Please share direct links that we can open without requesting access. A small selection of relevant work is more useful than a large, unfiltered portfolio.
