About the role

We need someone who can keep a large Amazon catalog clean and fix what breaks, every day, without being told twice.
We are a US-based Amazon agency. Our clients run several hundred SKUs across Seller Central and Vendor Central, in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. When a listing suppresses, a variation breaks, or a new SKU needs to go live, you are the person who handles it.

This is a hands-on catalog seat, not a strategy seat. You will be in flat files, case logs and listing backends most of the day. If that sounds tedious, this is not the job. If you find a broken parentage satisfying to fix, keep reading.
What you'll be doing

Listing troubleshooting

  • Diagnose and fix suppressed, stranded, and inactive listings
  • Resolve flat file errors and failed uploads
  • Fix incorrect or missing detail page attributes
  • Correct browse nodes and category misplacement
  • Investigate and fix detail page content that gets overwritten

Variation and parentage work

  • Create parent-child variations with the correct variation theme
  • Add children to existing live parents without wiping parent data
  • Remove a single child from a variation family without breaking the rest
  • Split, rebuild, and re-parent broken variation families
  • Preserve reviews and rank when restructuring

Listing merges and duplicates

  • Merge duplicate ASINs into a single detail page
  • Identify and resolve duplicate listings created by catalog conflicts
  • Handle GTIN, UPC, and EAN corrections

New listing creation

  • Build new listings from supplier data and spec sheets
  • Bulk upload via flat files for multi-SKU launches
  • Create and maintain listings across the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil marketplaces
  • Set up backend attributes, search terms, and compliance fields once you are trained on our standard

Case and escalation management

  • Open, track, and escalate Seller Support cases to resolution
  • Write clear, specific case notes that get results on the first reply
  • Follow up on open cases daily rather than letting them sit

Catalog audits and maintenance

  • Run routine audits for data accuracy across the catalog
  • Monitor account health and flag risks before they become suspensions
  • Track inventory status and flag stranded or at-risk SKUs
  • Maintain SKU records and documentation in ----------

Reporting

  • Daily end-of-shift summary of what was completed, what is pending, what is blocked
  • Flag anything you cannot resolve rather than guessing or letting it sit

Vendor Central
Our largest account is on Vendor Central, so a meaningful share of your day will be there.
Vendor Central experience is preferred but not required. If you are strong on Seller Central and have never touched VC, say so honestly in your application. We will teach it. What we will not do is train someone who claims VC experience they do not have, so be straight about where you are starting from.

On the VC side you would be working with:

  • Item setup and catalog updates through Vendor Central
  • Detail page and content updates
  • Opening and escalating VC cases

Chargebacks, shortage claims, and purchase order issues sit with someone else for now. We may train you on them down the road.

Requirements

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of hands-on Amazon catalog work, minimum. Not 3 to 5 years adjacent to Amazon, and not years spent managing people who did the work
  • Seller Central required
  • Vendor Central preferred, but we will teach it

Hard skills

  • Flat files: you know the difference between Update and PartialUpdate and what happens when you use the wrong one
  • Parent-child variation management, including surgical changes to a live family
  • Seller Support case handling and escalation
  • Suppressed, stranded, and inactive listing resolution
  • Image and A+ Content upload
  • Excel and Google Sheets at a working level (filtering, lookups, cleaning supplier data for bulk uploads)

How you work

  • You escalate when you are unsure instead of guessing on a live listing
  • You tell us when something is broken, including when you broke it. You stay calm when a listing goes down on a deadline
  • Fluent English, written and spoken. You write clearly enough that a Seller Support case or client-facing report needs light editing, not a rewrite

Logistics

  • Reliable computer and backup internet
  • Able to work a fixed shift, overnight if you are in Asia
  • Comfortable with time tracking and an NDA

Nice to have
None of these are dealbreakers, but they move you up the list:

  • Helium 10, DataDive, or similar keyword and listing tools
  • Brand Registry work: brand name changes, trademark conflicts, merge issues
  • Ungating and category approvals
  • Account reinstatement and Plan of Action writing
  • FBA shipment plan creation and reimbursement claims
  • Experience with non-US Amazon marketplaces (Canada, Mexico, Brazil)
  • ---------- , Asana, or similar project tracking

Compensation

You will work across more than one account. One takes the bulk of the day and the other is lighter. We like our people seeing more than one brand because you learn faster and the work stays interesting.

Before you apply
Read this part carefully.
If you do not have the hands-on experience described above, please do not apply. We are not looking for someone to train from zero, and we are not interested in finding out on a call that the resume was optimistic.
If you have genuinely done the work, you will enjoy this interview. Apply.
