About the Role

THE ROLE

Taylor Plumbing is a New Zealand plumbing and drainage contractor operating in six cities and growing into a national group. We are hiring one full-time, remote Marketing Operations Coordinator to run our marketing systems every day: Google Business Profiles, lead tracking reconciliation, landing page checks, review management and content collection from our field teams.

This is an operations job, not a creative job. You will run a written playbook, hit numbers, and report them. Strategy is set by the directors. If you want to design campaigns and tell us what the brand should be, this is not your role. If you want to own a checklist, execute it flawlessly and watch the numbers move because of you, read on.

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm New Zealand time (currently 3:00am to 11:30am Manila). Not negotiable; our customers and technicians work NZ hours.

Pay: NZ$1,800 to NZ$2,800 per month depending on experience, paid monthly via Wise, plus a 13th-month bonus after 12 months. Independent contractor agreement. Reviewed at 6 months.

Reports to: Director.

Start: As soon as the trial is passed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Every day:

Reconcile yesterday’s numbers by 9:30am NZ: Google Ads conversions vs GoHighLevel leads vs Fergus jobs, by city and service. Post the three numbers and the gap in the daily report. If they do not match within 15%, find out why before anything else.
Reply to every new Google review in every city within 24 hours, in the business’s voice.
Send review requests to every completed job from the previous day via GoHighLevel, and chase non-responders once at day 3.
Check every landing page that took paid traffic yesterday: phone number correct for the city, form submits, tracking fires, page loads on a phone. Log the result.
Monitor Google Ads spend pacing against daily budgets and flag any campaign that has spent its budget before 2pm or spent nothing.

Every week:

Google Business Profile for each branch: one post, new photos from the field, Q&A answered, categories, hours and services verified.
Collect job photos, before-and-afters and CCTV clips from technicians via WhatsApp; file them by city and service; write the one-line caption.
Run the search-terms report for the main campaigns and list candidate negative keywords for director approval.
Check all directory listings (NoCowboys, Builderscrack, Yellow, Master Plumbers, Neighbourly) for correct details and new reviews.
Produce the weekly scorecard by Monday 10am NZ.

Every month:

Review count and rating per branch against target; plan to close the gap.
Audit every landing page for speed and correctness on mobile.
Update the playbook with anything that changed.
Execute approved change tickets in Google Ads and on landing pages exactly as written, and report back with before-and-after.

WHAT YOU ARE MEASURED ON

You will be judged on these numbers and nothing else. Reported weekly, by you, checked by the directors.

New Google reviews per branch per month: 20+
Review reply time: 100% within 24 hours
Daily reconciliation posted by 9:30am NZ: 100% of working days
Reconciliation gap (Ads vs GHL vs Fergus): under 15%
Landing-page faults found by you before a customer hits them: 100%
Field photos collected per week: 15+
GBP posts per branch per week: 1
Change tickets executed exactly as written, with before/after: 100%

Miss a target: tell us before we find it, with the reason and the fix. That is fine. Hide it: that is the end of the trial.

MUST-HAVES

2+ years in a marketing operations, digital marketing admin, or virtual assistant role for an Australian, New Zealand, UK or US business, with a reference from that business we can call.
Hands-on with Google Business Profile management for a multi-location business.
Hands-on with Google Ads reporting: you can read a campaign, keyword and search-terms report and explain what you see. You do not need to be a media buyer.
Comfortable in a CRM (GoHighLevel preferred; HubSpot, Zoho or similar acceptable) and in Google Sheets with formulas and lookups.
Written English clear enough to reply to a customer review on behalf of a New Zealand business without editing.
Reliable fibre internet, a backup connection, a quiet workspace, and a computer less than four years old.
Willing to use time-tracking software (Hubstaff or Time Doctor) for the first 90 days.
Full-time with us only. No other clients during our hours.

Nice to have: experience with a trades, home-services, franchise or multi-site business; Lovable, Webflow or WordPress page editing; Meta Business Suite and Microsoft Ads; basic Canva.

AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFIERS

A generic cover letter that does not follow the instructions below.
Not available 8:00am to 4:30pm NZ time, Monday to Friday.
Working for another client during those hours, or planning to.
No reference from an AU, NZ, UK or US business.
Describing yourself as a “growth hacker”, “brand strategist” or “SEO guru”. We are hiring an operator.
Any missed step in the application process. The job is following a process exactly; the application is the first test.

HOW TO APPLY

Follow every step. Applications that skip a step are not read.

Subject line must be exactly: MOC – [your first name] – [the number of Google reviews Taylor Plumbing Auckland currently has]. Find the number yourself.
No cover letter. Answer these four questions, numbered, each in three sentences or fewer:
a) One AU/NZ/UK/US business you worked for, your role, the dates, and the name and email of someone there who will confirm it.
b) How many Google Business Profile locations you have managed at once, and the review count change while you managed them.
c) Your internet speed (paste a speedtest.net result link) and your backup connection.
d) Confirm in one sentence that you are available 8:00am to 4:30pm New Zealand time Monday to Friday with no other clients in those hours.
Attach a 60-second Loom screen recording of you opening any Google Ads search-terms report you have access to (or a demo account), pointing out one search term you would add as a negative and why. No slides, no script.

What happens next:

Step 1: We read applications that followed the instructions. Reply within 5 working days.
Step 2: Paid trial task, NZ$75, 2 hours. Read-only access to one branch’s Google Business Profile. You return a ranked list of the 10 things you would fix with the reason for each, plus three review-reply templates (5-star, 3-star, 1-star).
Step 3: 30-minute video call with the director. You walk through your trial task and reconcile a small set of numbers live.
Step 4: Two-week paid trial at full rate on the real job, with the playbook. At the end of week two you present your first weekly scorecard. Pass that and the role is yours.

We reply to everyone who reaches Step 2. We do not reply to applications that did not follow the instructions.
