About the Role

Social Media Coordinator ~ Mindful & Co Kids

The role in one line

We’re looking for a Social Media Coordinator to own organic social for a children’s mindfulness brand selling direct to parents in Australia and the USA, and wholesale into retailers - and to grow a real community around it, not just a posting schedule.

About us

Mindful & Co Kids makes mindfulness tools for children - weighted buddies, yoga cards, board games, worry stones, calming oils, printable kits. We’re founded and led by a child psychotherapist, we sell through our own stores in Australia and the USA, and we’re stocked by retailers in both markets.

We’re a small team and everyone’s work is visible. Nothing disappears into a department.

What you’d own

Instagram - the main channel. Feed, Reels, Stories, DMs, community.
Pinterest - a real growth channel for us that hasn’t been worked properly.

Facebook - currently organic-dead. You’d help us d ---------- whether to revive it or formally park it.
TikTok - our US account.
Content production - designing in Canva, editing Reels in CapCut, writing captions that sound like us.
Creator and affiliate relationships - we run a creator gifting program and an affiliate program through Trybe.
ManyChat - our keyword automations and DM flows.
Reporting - what worked, what didn’t, what you’d change. Monthly.

What we actually need you to be good at

Non-negotiable, and we will ask for proof:

eCommerce experience. You’ve run social for a product brand that sells online. You understand that content has a job and the job is revenue.
Wholesale or retail experience, or a genuine willingness to learn it - our wholesale and DTC audiences are different and we post for both.
Organic growth you can evidence. Show us an account you grew. Real numbers, real dates, and what you did that caused it. Follower counts alone don’t tell us anything.
Expert Canva. Not “I can use Canva.” You’ll be building full monthly content packs, campaign assets and templates.
CapCut. Reels that hold attention, not slideshows.

Strongly preferred: ManyChat, affiliate or creator program management (we use Trybe), Pinterest growth, and experience with a kids, wellness, education or parenting brand.

How we work, and who this suits

We’re being direct about this because it matters more to us than any single skill.

Reliability is the job. If you say it’ll be done Thursday, it’s done Thursday. If it won’t be, we hear that on Tuesday, not Friday.
We track hours with Hubstaff. That’s how we invoice and plan. We expect what’s logged to be what was worked, on a computer, on our projects.
Meetings start on time and we’re on camera. We’re a small team across time zones and the calls are short - showing up properly is most of it.
Everything is built in our accounts. Our Canva, our Dropbox, our logins. Work made for Mindful & Co Kids belongs to Mindful & Co Kids and lives somewhere the team can reach it.
We want your ideas. The last thing we need is someone waiting for a brief. We want someone who comes to the Monday call with “I think we should try this, here’s why.”
We want someone building a career, not filling a gap. If this is a placeholder while you look for something else, it won’t work for either of us.

What we offer

20–25 hours a week to start, with real scope to grow the role and the hours if the work is strong.
A small, genuinely kind team. No politics, no layers.
Ownership. This is the whole organic channel, yours to run.
Growth. As the brand grows, this role grows with it - into broader marketing, paid, or team leadership, depending on where you’re strong.
Work that means something. We make things that help children manage big feelings. Parents write to us about it.
Remote, with overlap into Australian business hours.

How to apply

Please send:

Your portfolio - the social work, not a general design folder.
One account you grew. Tell us the starting point, the end point, the timeframe, and specifically what you did. We’d rather see one honest case study than five logos.
Three examples of Reels you edited yourself.
A short note - 150 words is plenty - on one thing you’d change ---------- in your first month, and why.

Point 4 is the one we read first.

Please email your resume to ---------- (I will only consider applicants through email )

Shortlist stage

Shortlisted applicants will be asked to complete a short paid task: design one carousel and one Reel concept to a brief, in Canva and CapCut. We pay for your time on it.
