Clip Editor – Stream Clips to Vertical Shorts for TikTok, Reels & YouTube Shorts (50-100+ clips/week, ongoing, remote)
Confidential employer
I send you clips from a streamer’s channel, and you turn them into polished vertical shorts for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other platforms. The clips are already picked. Your job is to trim, frame, caption, and export. This is ongoing weekly work for the right person.
THE JOB
You’ll get a sheet of clip links from the streamer’s clips page, with IN/OUT points within each clip and the line being clipped
50+ clips per week, delivered in batches of 10–15
One export per clip works across TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
Expected pace: about 10 clips per hour once you’re set up. If a clip takes you 20 minutes, this isn’t the right fit.
OUTPUT SPECS
9:16 vertical, exported at 1080×1920
Always crop to fill, never letterbox. Scaling the crop up to 1080×1920 is expected.
Layout: [facecam only / facecam stacked over gameplay]. A reference clip is provided.
Length: 15–50 seconds
Captions: burned in, 2–4 words per line, high contrast, [font / color / position]. A template is provided.
Keep captions and faces inside platform safe zones, clear of the TikTok/Reels buttons and caption area
Audio normalized to [-14 LUFS]
Export: MP4, H.264, [30/60] fps
QUALITY BAR
Cuts land within 0.5s of the IN/OUT points. Use that window to start and end on a clean word. Mid-word openings are the most common rejection.
The hook is visible in the first 1.5 seconds. If the clip doesn’t allow that, flag it in your batch notes instead of guessing.
Framing is head-and-chest, centered in the upper part of the frame, never cropped at the eyes. Any exceptions will be noted in the sheet.
Captions match the audio exactly. Fix auto-caption errors on names, slang, game terms, and crosstalk. A glossary of names and terms is provided.
Flag any clip that’s missing its setup, has muted audio, or is too low quality to use.
WHAT TO CUT AROUND
Ads, sponsor reads, or brand promo segments
BRB screens, countdowns, intro stings, or raid shoutouts
Dead air. Five seconds of silence in a clip means it’s wrong.
If any of these fall inside a clip, remove them with a clean jump cut, or flag the clip if removing them breaks it.
