Part-Time CapCut Video Editor & Clip Sourcer (TikTok & Instagram Reels)

I'm looking for a reliable, motivated part-time video editor to help scale my social media operation, primarily on TikTok and Instagram Reels.

The content consists mainly of short videos, typically around 6 seconds long. The editing process is straightforward, and I'll provide examples and instructions so you can learn the exact style and workflow.

I'm looking for someone who can replicate this format efficiently, find suitable clips and consistently deliver content.

This is intended to be a long-term working relationship. I'm looking for someone dependable who wants to grow alongside the business.

Responsibilities

Edit short-form videos using CapCut.

Source suitable clips for videos based on my instructions and examples.

Follow the examples and replicate the established editing style.

Add text, music or simple effects where required.

Prepare videos in the correct format for TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Organise completed videos into designated folders.

Meet agreed production targets and deadlines.

Communicate progress and ask questions when instructions are unclear.

Make reasonable revisions when needed.

Clip Sourcing

Basic experience finding suitable clips online is preferred.

I'll provide examples of the type of content I'm looking for and explain the sourcing process. You should be comfortable researching content, identifying relevant clips and organising the material for editing.

You don't need to be an expert researcher, but you should be resourceful, detail-oriented and willing to learn.

Only use sources and material that I'm authorised to use, and follow the sourcing instructions provided.

Requirements

Basic experience using CapCut.

Familiarity with TikTok and Instagram Reels.

Some experience sourcing clips or finding content online.

Ability to follow instructions and replicate examples.

Good attention to detail.

Reliable internet connection.

Good communication and time-management skills.

Willingness to learn and accept feedback.

Advanced editing skills are not required. The content is simple, so efficiency, consistency and the ability to follow the workflow are the main priorities.

Workload and Compensation

This is a part-time position with a starting budget of $150–$180 USD per month, depending on the agreed workload and experience.

Weekly hours and production targets will be agreed upon before employment begins.

The overall social media operation aims to publish at least 16 posts per day. Your responsibilities will focus on sourcing and editing the video assets required for the content plan.

Paid Trials

Applicants who make the shortlist will be asked to complete paid trial tasks.

These will help me assess your ability to source suitable clips, follow instructions, edit efficiently and produce content in the required style.

I'll provide examples and explain the process before the trials begin. The tasks and payment will be agreed upon beforehand.
