Job Description:

HeartStamp is a US brand that helps people create personalized greeting cards and invitations. Customers can have them printed and mailed, or send them digitally. Our assistant Stampy gives people creative designer superpowers, so anyone can send a card that looks like they tried harder, cared more, and nailed it. It is Christmas, our busiest season, and we need a video ad editor who can start right away and ship ads that sell, every working day.

This is an ads job. You make short 9:16 video ads for Meta and TikTok, built to drive purchases, working directly with our paid ads lead. It is not long-form YouTube, not sponsored influencer posts, and not a role where we teach you the tools. You need to be productive in week one.

What you'll make:

-2 to 3 finished ads per working day during peak season, 15 to 30 seconds each, 9:16 for Meta and TikTok.
-Story ads with real emotion: Christmas moments, family far away, the last-minute card panic, the card that makes someone tear up.
-Product ads built from real screen recordings of our card maker, showing the real steps and the finished card.
-Hook variations and cut-downs of winning ads so we can test fast.
-Sound design, music and voiceover on every ad: a clear sound in the first second, effects on the key moments, music that lifts at the payoff.

How we work (please read this twice):

1. Brief first. You build what the brief asks for. Have a better idea? Pitch it in writing and we may test it, but nothing outside the brief gets produced without sign-off.
2. Storyboard before you render. Every ad starts as a short storyboard with the script, shot list and the source of every shot (our footage, screen recordings or AI shots). We approve it, then you build.
3. Show work daily. Post a written standup every weekday morning and share drafts in progress. We would rather see a rough cut on day one than a finished ad on day four.
4. Flag blockers the same day. If a tool, file or login isn't working, tell us within a couple of hours. Silence is the one thing we can't work with.
5. Spend like it's your own money. AI renders are tested at low resolution first, costed before the final take, and logged.

The AI part:

We are an AI-first creative shop. You will generate shots and keyframes through APIs on company keys, using models such as Kling, Seedance, Flux and GPT Image on platforms such as fal, Replicate and OpenAI, and you will run our in-house Claude skills in the Claude desktop app. You must already be comfortable setting up API keys, keeping them secure, and estimating what a render will cost before you run it. If you have only used AI tools through app subscriptions and never through an API, this role is not the right fit.

Must have:

-A portfolio of paid social video ads you edited for Meta, TikTok or YouTube, not just reels or vlogs. A real portfolio site or ad reel. Bare Google Drive folders will not be reviewed.
-2+ years editing short-form ads for consumer, ecommerce or DTC brands.
-Fluency in Premiere Pro, CapCut or DaVinci Resolve, plus After Effects or similar for motion text.
-Hands-on AI video and image generation through APIs (fal, Replicate, OpenAI or similar).
-A real feel for hooks, pacing and sound. You know the first second d ---------- whether anyone keeps watching.
-Strong American pop-culture fluency and C1 English, written and spoken.
-Availability for our daily overlap: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM US Eastern (10:00 PM to 2:00 AM Philippine time). The remaining hours are flexible.
-A computer that renders 1080p without struggling, stable internet, and a backup plan for brownouts.

Nice to have:

-Results you can point to: an ad you cut that scaled, or a hook test you won.
-Experience with Christmas, gifting, family or ecommerce brands.
-AI voiceover (ElevenLabs or similar) and music tools.

Who you work with: Our paid ads lead directs your day-to-day work and our founder gives final approval. Everything runs on written briefs in Slack.

How we start: Every hire starts with a short paid test at your hourly rate, with a time cap. You get a real brief, send back a storyboard and script for approval, then deliver one finished 15 to 20 second 9:16 ad that uses at least one AI shot generated through an API, with the render cost logged. Top candidates move to a paid trial. We hire on the work.

How to apply:

-Put the words STAMPY CUT at the top of your application. We skip applications without them.
-Your ad portfolio or reel link, plus 3 ads you edited, with the brand, the platform and what you did on each.
-The AI video and image models you have run through an API, which platform you ran them on, and roughly what a 5 second clip cost.
-Two or three sentences: you get a brief for three ads at 9:00 AM ET. What do you send us by 1:00 PM ET?
-Your hourly rate in USD and your earliest start date.
