Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Australian Private Group

We are seeking a highly experienced, commercially minded and AI-savvy Chief Financial Officer to oversee the financial management, reporting, budgeting and strategic financial planning of a private Australian group with multiple entities, international investments and property interests.

Key Responsibilities

Group financial management, accounting and reporting across multiple entities.

Prepare consolidated monthly Group Financial and Board Reports.

Lead Group budgeting, financial forecasting, cash flow management and long-term financial planning.

Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the Directors.

Oversee investment portfolio reporting, performance analysis and capital allocation.

Manage international banking, foreign currency transactions and intercompany accounts.

Oversee property investment financial modelling, profitability and cash flow forecasts.

Ensure accurate financial records, reconciliations and management reporting through Xero.

Implement AI tools and automation to improve financial reporting, forecasting and operational efficiency.

Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and investment advisers.

Qualifications & Experience

University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

Minimum 15 years' senior accounting and financial management experience.

Strong expertise in multi-entity financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling.

Advanced proficiency in Xero, Excel and AI tools.

Strong commercial judgement, analytical skills and ability to work independently.

Experience with private investment groups, family offices, property development or international investment structures is highly regarded.
