About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our technology development team and assist with the ongoing development, maintenance and expansion of our fintech platforms.
The role involves working on existing fintech platforms and applications, developing new functionality, integrating third-party financial service providers and building scalable, secure and reliable technology solutions.
We are looking for someone with strong front-end and back-end development capabilities, particularly in API development and integration, who can work independently and take ownership of technical projects from development through to deployment.

Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enhance existing fintech platforms and web applications.
Build and maintain front-end and back-end application functionality.
Develop and integrate REST APIs, third-party SDKs and external service providers.
Integrate payment processors, card issuing platforms, digital wallets and other financial technology services.
Develop transaction processing workflows, webhooks and API-driven functionality.
Design and manage databases and back-end infrastructure.
Develop customer interfaces, administrative dashboards and management systems.
Implement secure authentication, authorisation and data management processes.
Manage application deployment, testing, troubleshooting and ongoing maintenance.
Improve platform performance, scalability, security and reliability.
Maintain technical documentation and development standards.

Required Technical Skills
Front-End Development
JavaScript and TypeScript.
React.js and Next.js.
HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development.
UI/UX implementation and application state management.

Back-End Development
Node.js, Express.js, NestJS or equivalent.
Python, Django or FastAPI would be advantageous.
REST API development and integration.
Webhooks, asynchronous processing and event-driven architecture.
Authentication, authorisation and application security.

Databases and Infrastructure
PostgreSQL, MySQL and/or MongoDB.
Database design and optimisation.
AWS, Google Cloud or Azure.
Linux server environments and Docker.
Git, GitHub and CI/CD deployment workflows.

API Integration and Security
OAuth 2.0, API keys and token-based authentication.
Third-party API and SDK integrations.
API testing, debugging and documentation using Postman or equivalent.
Secure data handling, encryption and access management.
Understanding of OWASP security principles and PCI DSS requirements.

Experience and Qualifications
At least 3 years of professional full-stack development experience.
Proven experience developing and maintaining production web applications.
Previous experience with fintech, payment processing, digital wallets, banking or financial services platforms is preferred.
Strong practical experience integrating third-party APIs and external service providers.
Experience working with existing codebases and extending established applications.
Ability to independently troubleshoot problems and deliver technical solutions.
Strong understanding of application security, performance and scalability.

Mobile Application Development
Developing and maintaining mobile applications for iOS and Android.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Integrating AI APIs and large language models (LLMs).
Developing AI-powered applications, assistants, agents and automation workflows.
Integrating AI models into existing applications and business processes.
Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI-driven data processing.

Cyber Security
Practical experience in application and infrastructure security.
Secure software development and coding practices.
Security testing, vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Threat assessment and vulnerability management.
Knowledge of OWASP, data protection and security best practices.
Experience identifying and addressing application vulnerabilities.
