Remote Call & Dispatch Specialist (Tree Service, US Eastern Hours)
Confidential employer

This is not a script-reading call center job, and it's not for a quiet assistant who waits to be told what to do. We want someone who picks up the phone, takes control of the call, and gets the estimate on the calendar.
We're hiring 1 to 2 Tree Service Call & Dispatch Specialists. It's remote, and you'll work US Eastern Time hours.
You'll answer live calls from US homeowners and property managers who need tree work: a tree leaning over the house, a limb on the roof, a stump in the way, or just a trim before storm season. Your job is to answer fast, ask the right questions, and book the estimate before they hang up and call the next company on Google.
⚠️ Applications without the 90-second video described below will be skipped.
What you'll do every day
Answer every call live. Homeowners call the first tree company they see. If nobody answers, they call the next one. You pick up, stay friendly, and keep it moving. That means no missed calls and no "can I call you back."
Find out what the job is. You'll get the address, what kind of work they need (removal, trimming, stump grinding, storm cleanup), how big the tree is, where it sits (near the house, a fence, or power lines), whether a truck can get to it, and photos by text when possible.
Sort out what's urgent. A tree on a house after a storm is an emergency. A hedge trim next month isn't. You'll know the difference in the first 30 seconds and send it to the right person.
Book estimates. You'll put appointments on the estimators' calendars, confirm the time with the homeowner, and send a reminder so they're home when the crew shows up.
Dispatch and coordinate. You'll work with crew leads and estimators by phone and text, move appointments around when weather or a breakdown hits, and keep every customer updated so nobody is left wondering.
Follow up. You'll call and text leads who didn't book, estimates that haven't been signed, and customers who went quiet. A lot of jobs are won on the second or third touch.
Log everything. Every call, note, and booking goes into the CRM, accurately, while you're talking.
(You don't need to know trees. We'll teach you the difference between a removal and a crown reduction. We can't teach you how to stay calm and take charge.)
What you need (please don't apply if you're missing these)
Clear, easy-to-understand spoken English. Homeowners and crew leads should understand you the first time without asking you to repeat yourself.
At least 2 years on the phones in a busy, live-call job: home services (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, pest control), roadside or towing dispatch, insurance claims, logistics dispatch, or appointment setting. You're comfortable handling a steady flow of calls all shift.
A backbone. When a homeowner says "I'm just getting prices, I'll call you back," you don't fold. You stay warm, answer their questions, and book the estimate anyway. Stressed callers after a storm don't rattle you.
Quick thinking and fast typing (45+ WPM). You can work a calendar, a CRM, and a map at the same time without losing the person on the phone.
Full-time, dedicated hours. You must be sharp and available for your full assigned shift. We run two shifts that together cover 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. No second job during your shift.
A real setup. A reliable computer, dual monitors, wired high-speed internet with a backup, a noise-canceling USB headset, and a quiet room.
Pay and schedule
Starting pay: $600 USD per month, paid every two weeks.
Shifts: Two shifts covering 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM Eastern Time. You'll be assigned to one.
Paid training.
How to apply
Step 1 (about 10 minutes)
Use the subject line "TREE DISPATCH – [Your Full Name]" and send only this:
A 90-second video (Google Drive, Loom, or unlisted YouTube link). Look at the camera, not a script, and cover:
Part A (30 sec): Who you are, your toughest phone job, and how you handle a rush of calls at once.
Part B (30 sec), role-play: Pretend I'm a homeowner calling and saying, "I just need a ballpark price over the phone. I'm not having anybody come out until I know what it costs." Respond to me like it's a live call. Show us you can be friendly and still book the estimate.
Part C (30 sec): A storm just passed. Three customers are calling about trees down, and one says a limb is on their roof. Tell us out loud how you handle it and in what order.
Step 2 (only if we invite you)
A typing test, a short mock call, a screenshot of your computer specs and internet speed test, your resume, and a short live interview.
Good luck. If you like fast phones and getting things done, we'd like to meet you.
