Senior Residential Interior Designer (US Homes, Remote, Contract to Full-Time)

ABOUT THE ROLE
This starts as a contract role, paid per room plan. We intend to make it full-time as soon as possible.
Full-time pay: $800 to $1,600 USD per month, based on skills & experience.

We're a small US studio that designs rooms for homeowners in the United States. Clients send photos, measurements and a style questionnaire, and you turn them into a complete design plan for the room. There are no client calls today, though you may be asked to hold client calls in the future.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

1. Understand the client's wants & needs based on the information they provide
2. Plan room layouts with real sizes and walkways.
3. Choose colors (paint brand and code), flooring, materials and lighting.
4. Build shopping lists from US retailers with multiple options at different price points.
5. Put it all together as a clean, easy-to-follow PDF.
6. Handle revisions requested by the clients

YOU'RE A FIT IF YOU HAVE

• A degree in Interior Design
• 5+ years of residential design work
• Experience with a US, Canadian, UK or Australian residential firm
• A portfolio of finished rooms with a high-end look
• SketchUp, AutoCAD or similar experience
• Clear written & spoken English
