About the Role

Job Role: Operational Growth Marketer / Operational Right Hand

Rate: $1,000.00 per month (for an exceptional candidate)
Work Schedule: Full-time: 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week - PST
Requirement: Minimum 2 years of proven digital marketing experience

About the Role
We are looking for a commercially minded digital marketer with strong systems thinking, AI curiosity, and technical problem-solving ability to help us improve how our agency operates and delivers work.
This is not a pure channel-specialist role, and it is not a narrow automation role.
You do not need to be the best Meta buyer, Google specialist, or WordPress developer in the business. But you do need enough broad digital marketing experience to understand what great delivery should look like, where time is being lost, where workflows are inefficient, and how better systems, tools, and AI-enabled ways of working can improve outcomes.
This role exists to create operational capacity across the agency, reduce unnecessary founder dependency, and help us build smarter ways of delivering websites, landing pages, content, campaigns, and related digital marketing work.

Mission
Create operational capacity and delivery leverage by identifying, prioritizing, and implementing better ways of delivering digital marketing work across the agency, while progressively reducing founder dependency in operational problem-solving.

What You'll Be Responsible For
You will be responsible for helping us improve the way work gets done across the agency. That includes:

  • Identifying inefficient processes, bottlenecks, handoffs, and unnecessary complexity
  • Spotting opportunities to simplify, systemise, automate, or redesign delivery workflows
  • Using AI and other tools to prototype and implement better ways of working
  • Improving how websites, landing pages, content, and campaigns are planned and produced
  • Documenting improved workflows, templates, and operating procedures
  • Working across teams to help improvements get adopted in practice
  • Taking ownership of selected operational improvement priorities without needing constant direction
  • Bringing recommendations, not just observations, when problems or opportunities appear

The goal is not simply more activity; the goal is to reduce dependency and increase independent execution.

What This Role Is Not
To avoid confusion, this role is not:
A pure automation specialist
A junior technician waiting for instructions
A senior developer hired to custom-build everything
A narrow paid media or SEO specialist
A project coordinator who escalates every important decision upward
We are looking for someone in the middle ground: a strong digital marketer who understands the work commercially and strategically, but who is also curious and capable enough to research, test, improve, and implement smarter operational approaches.

What Success Looks Like
1. Founder capacity is returned. You progressively take ownership of meaningful operational improvement areas so the founder is no longer the default person identifying and driving every improvement opportunity.
2. Delivery workflows improve. You identify and implement practical improvements that reduce friction, handoffs, delays, or unnecessary manual work across delivery.
3. AI is applied commercially, not just creatively. You use AI and automation where it creates genuine leverage, while avoiding unnecessary complexity, overengineering, or custom builds that do not justify themselves.
4. Better systems get adopted by the team. You do not just experiment in isolation. You help translate good ideas into repeatable ways of working the team can actually use.
5. Operational improvements create measurable value. Within a reasonable period, your work should begin freeing capacity, reducing wasted time, improving throughput, supporting retention, enabling new service capability, and/or creating stronger commercial performance.

Key Outcomes for the First 6 Months

  • In your first 6 months, you will be expected to:
  • Take independent ownership of 2–3 meaningful operational improvement priorities
  • Implement 1–2 meaningful workflow improvements per month after ramp-up
  • Reduce founder involvement in selected operational areas through clearer ownership and better systems
  • Document and roll out at least 3 core workflows, templates, or SOPs
  • Demonstrate measurable time savings, reduced handoffs, improved throughput, or other clear operational leverage
  • Consistently bring commercially sound recommendations on whether to eliminate, simplify, automate, delegate, or build
  • Skills and Experience We're Looking For

Essential

  • Broad hands-on digital marketing experience across multiple areas such as websites, landing pages, content, campaign execution, reporting, and client delivery
  • Strong ability to understand marketing problems before proposing technical solutions
  • Systems thinking: the ability to see workflows, bottlenecks, dependencies, and handoffs
  • Confidence using AI tools and modern software to research, prototype, and improve workflows
  • Strong problem-solving ability and comfort figuring things out independently
  • Ability to recommend the simplest viable solution rather than defaulting to custom complexity
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Strong ownership mentality and follow-through

Marketing Technology Understanding
You do not need to be our best Google Ads or Meta Ads strategist, but you do need to understand digital marketing well enough to work confidently with systems such as:

  • Meta Ads / Lead Ads
  • Google Ads
  • GA4
  • Google Tag Manager
  • CRM / lead-management systems
  • Website forms
  • Marketing feeds
  • Reporting platforms

Without that context, it would be difficult to properly understand what we are trying to accomplish, where the operational friction sits, and how improved systems should support the marketing outcome.

Technologies / Experience That Would Be Particularly Useful
Strong preference for experience with:

  • Google Sheets
  • Supermetrics or similar data connectors
  • Google Apps Script or comparable scripting experience
  • APIs, JSON, and webhooks
  • Automation platforms such as Make, n8n, or similar
  • AI tools and AI-assisted development
  • Data manipulation and reporting
  • AI-assisted or low-code application building

Useful but not essential:

  • GA4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Meta Ads / Google Ads platform knowledge
  • SQL
  • Python
  • Looker Studio or similar reporting tools
  • Web scraping / structured data extraction
  • CRM and lead-management integrations

Individual technologies matter less than the person's ability to understand systems, learn new tools quickly, and reliably solve the underlying business problem.

Valuable but Not Required

  • Experience improving agency delivery operations
  • Experience documenting SOPs, templates, and workflows
  • Experience working across marketing and web delivery teams
  • Familiarity with no-code or low-code automation tools
  • Experience implementing AI-assisted production workflows

Competencies
For this role, the competencies that predict success are:

  • Digital marketing judgment — understands what good marketing delivery looks like
  • Marketing technology understanding — understands the tools and systems surrounding tracking, lead flow, reporting, and campaign execution
  • Systems thinking — sees the process behind the task
  • Ownership mentality — acts on opportunities instead of waiting to be told
  • Commercial judgment — knows when to remove, simplify, buy, or build
  • Technical curiosity — explores tools, AI, and new methods with initiative
  • Implementation follow-through — can take an idea through to adoption
  • Clear communication — explains problems, options, and recommendations simply

Values and Operating Style

  • We are looking for someone who:
  • Takes ownership instead of waiting for perfect instructions
  • Communicates clearly and proactively
  • Uses judgment rather than chasing hype
  • Prefers practical solutions over clever complexity
  • Looks for leverage, not just activity
  • Is comfortable working in ambiguity while still moving things forward

How You'll Approach the Work

  • In this role, strong performance will usually look like:
  • Understanding the commercial and delivery context before changing a workflow
  • Questioning whether a task should exist at all before automating it
  • Using existing tools where they are good enough
  • Building custom solutions only where the value clearly justifies it
  • Turning useful experiments into repeatable operational improvements
  • Helping the team adopt better ways of working, not just creating isolated founder-side shortcuts

Why This Role Matters
We believe AI may significantly change how digital marketing services are delivered, especially in areas like websites, landing pages, content production, and workflow execution.

The opportunity is bigger than automating small tasks. The real opportunity is redesigning how work gets done so that fewer handoffs are required, capable marketers can do more directly, and the agency becomes more efficient and adaptable.

We need someone who can help identify and implement those opportunities in a practical, commercially responsible way.

Who This Role Would Suit
This role is likely a strong fit for someone who:

  • Has 2+ years of real digital marketing experience
  • Enjoys improving how work gets done, not just executing tasks
  • Is excited by AI and emerging tools, but not distracted by hype
  • Can bridge strategy, delivery, systems, and implementation
  • Wants to take meaningful ownership in a growing agency environment
  • Is motivated by making an operation smarter, simpler, and more scalable

Important:
*Only applicants who meet the requirements will be considered.
*Make sure your resume and portfolio are updated, as these will be the main basis for screening.
*Include examples of operational improvements, workflow redesigns, AI-enabled solutions, or process changes you have identified and implemented, along with any relevant case studies or e
