About the Role

Grandma Roofer is a roofing company in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Texas.
We help churches, property managers and building owners keep their
roofs in good shape.
We offer a free roof look with photos. Nothing up front.

THE JOB
You will phone business offices in Texas and set up a short, free
roof-look visit.
You are an appointment setter. Your only goal is to book the visit.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Make about 40 to 60 calls a day from a call list we give you.
  • Use our short script. Stay on script.
  • Ask who looks after the roofs at the building.
  • Ask simple quote questions: roof size and type, any leaks, who makes

the decision, timeline, and budget window.

  • Never give a price. Say: "Cindy gives prices after the free roof look."
  • Offer two visit times. Book one.
  • Log the result of every call in a Google Sheet (we give you the codes).
  • Leave a short voi cemail (live voice only) when nobody answers.
  • Say "This call may be recorded" at the start of every call.
  • If someone says "stop calling" or "do not call", log DNC right away.
  • Send a short end-of-day summary in the sheet.

WHAT YOU WILL NOT DO

  • No quoting prices. No selling. No taking payment.
  • No promises or guarantees about the roof or the work.
  • No claims about the company beyond the script.
  • No texting or email ing prospects.
  • No calling anyone not on your list.
  • Book the visit only. The owner handles everything after that.

PAY

  • $5 to $7 per hour, based on your voice test and phone screen. Paid

weekly or every two weeks.

  • Plus $15 for every visit that is kept (the visit happens and we meet

the decision-maker).

  • One-month trial. The first week is a paid trial at your hourly rate.
  • We review your work every Friday. If it goes well, you continue.
  • 4 hours a day, Monday to Friday. About 20 hours a week.
  • No weekend calls.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day.
  • Calls are made between 9 AM and 5 PM Central Time (US).
  • Starting block: 9 AM to 1 PM Central. That is 10 PM to 2 AM

Philippine time now, and 11 PM to 3 AM after US clocks change on Nov
1.

  • If you cannot work these hours, please do not apply.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent, clear English. Native-level or near-native.
  • Neutral, very light accent. Easy for Americans to understand on the phone.
  • Upbeat, warm and friendly. We should hear your smile on the phone.
  • REQUIRED: a 60-second voice recording reading the test script (see

"How to apply").

  • REQUIRED: a short live phone screen if you are shortlisted.
  • Quiet room. Good headset. Stable internet (wired is best).
  • A laptop or desktop that runs Chrome.
  • Comfortable making phone calls to businesses and hearing "no" politely.
  • Reliable. You show up every shift.
  • US call-center experience preferred (cold calling or appointment setting).

HOW TO APPLY (follow every step or we will skip your application)
1. Use the subject line: ROOF CALLER - [Your Name]
2. Answer the 5 questions below.
3. Attach (or link) a 60-second voice recording of the test script below.
4. Tell us your hourly rate and your available hours.
5. If shortlisted, be ready for a short live phone screen.

5 SCREENING QUESTIONS
1. Which US businesses have you called before, and what was your job?
(If none, say "none" and tell us why you would be good at this.)
2. A church secretary says, "We're not interested." What do you say
next? Write your exact words.
3. A property manager says, "What does it cost?" You may not quote
prices. What do you say? Write your exact words.
4. The person says, "Please stop calling me." What do you do?
5. This job is 9 AM to 1 PM Central, Monday to Friday. What are your
hours in the Philippines, and can you work them every day with a quiet
room and wired internet?

AUDIO TEST SCRIPT (read out loud, about 60 seconds, record it, one take is fine)
Say it the way you would on a real call. Smile. Speak slowly and clearly.

"Hi, this is [your first name], calling for Cindy at Grandma Roofer.
This call may be recorded.
Do you have a minute? I'll be quick.
We're giving churches and property managers in Benbrook a free roof
look with photos.
Who looks after the roofs at your building?
About how big is the roof, and what kind is it? Any leaks right now?
Is there a timeline or budget window you're working with?
Cindy gives prices after the free roof look.
Could we schedule a 20-minute visit? Nothing up front. We just leave
you the photos.
I have Tuesday at 10 AM, or Wednesday at 2 PM. Which works better?"

Then answer this one in your own words (10 seconds):
The person says: "We already have a roofer."

SHOW YOUR WORK (we listen for)

  • Excellent, clear English with a neutral, light accent.
  • Upbeat, warm and friendly, with a smile we can hear.
  • Clear words and a friendly tone.
  • Not too fast. Not reading like a robot.
  • Smooth handling of "We already have a roofer."
  • Quiet background. No echo.
