Short-Form Video Editor - Character Edits & Music Content

I’m an independent music artist looking for creative video editors to make short-form content featuring my music.

The main focus is character edits: videos built around characters, relationships, and memorable moments from movies, TV shows, anime, or games. I’m also interested in experimenting with cinematic videos, lyric videos, and other creative formats.

Every video will feature my music. The goal is to make content people connect with, watch again, and share—and help them discover the song through the edit.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Create vertical videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, always featuring my music.
• Follow creative assignments from my system, which will specify the movies and characters to use.
• Select compelling scenes from the assigned source material and build engaging character edits.
• Match the footage to the song’s lyrics, emotion, rhythm, and key moments.
• Use strong openings, thoughtful pacing, clean transitions, and well-timed text.
• Experiment with cinematic edits, lyric videos, and other formats when assigned.
• Follow briefs, meet agreed deadlines, organize project files, and make revisions when needed.

Your portfolio matters more than formal qualifications. If you already make edits for fun or run an edit account, I’d love to see your work.

HOW TO APPLY
Please include:

• Three to five relevant edits you personally created. Character edits are especially helpful.
• A brief explanation of your contribution to each example.
• The editing software you use.
• Your hourly rate / rate per finished video and what that rate includes.
• Your weekly availability and how many videos you could realistically produce per week.
• Your favorite type of character edit to make and why.
