Part-Time Quantity Takeoff Specialist (Flooring, Countertops, Cabinets) for US Contractor

Brady Builds is a commercial interiors subcontractor in Las Vegas, USA. We install flooring, tile, stone and quartz countertops, and cabinets and millwork for general contractors.

We need someone to measure quantities from PDF plan sets. You would measure quantities only. Our estimator handles pricing and vendors.

How it works:

• At the end of our day we send a bid package: the plans, the finish schedule, and the list of materials to measure. It arrives around the start of your workday.
• You do the takeoff during your day and upload it before our next morning.
• We expect 2 to 4 takeoffs a week to start, with room to grow to full time.

What each takeoff includes:

• Flooring and base by finish tag (for example T-1, CPT-1, LVT-1, RB-1), in square feet and linear feet.
• Countertops and backsplash by finish tag (for example QTZ-1, SS-1), in square feet.
• Cabinets and millwork in linear feet or counts.
• Each item named exactly as its finish tag on the plans, with one color per tag.
• The takeoff file, plus a PDF of the plans showing your color-coded takeoff.

Software: On-Screen Takeoff is preferred, and we can provide a license. Bluebeam Revu or PlanSwift also work.

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of quantity takeoffs, ideally including flooring, tile, countertops or cabinets for US clients.
• A Windows computer and reliable internet.
• Good written English.

Before hiring we run a short paid test ($60 flat) on one of our past jobs.
