About the Role:

We are a growing US dental technology company seeking an experienced Senior Backend / Systems Engineer to own, maintain, and improve our live healthcare operations platform. Our system supports daily operations, including digital case processing, quality control, shipping, billing, and customer support.

We need someone who can strengthen system reliability, security, and performance while maintaining our existing codebase.

Key Responsibilities:

-Maintain and troubleshoot production systems.
-Improve monitoring, alerting, automated testing, and deployment processes.
-Strengthen security, access controls, backups, and data protection.
-Manage third-party API integrations, webhooks, and background jobs.
-Improve code quality and system reliability.
-Provide technical support to internal operations teams.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience.

-Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
-Proven experience owning and maintaining production systems.
-Familiarity with Docker, REST APIs, cloud deployment, webhooks, and background workers.
-Regular experience using AI coding tools and validating their output.
-Strong written and spoken English.
-Experience working at a product company.
-Healthcare, logistics, payments, and browser automation experience are advantages.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $4,000–$6,500 USD per month, depending on experience. (Paid BiWeekly)
• Remote work from the Philippines.
• Monthly payments in USD via Wise or Deel.

-Equipment budget, internet stipend, and AI coding tools covered.

• Major US holidays off.
• Compensation review after 6 months, with a growth path toward Head of Engineering.

Working Hours:
-Must overlap at least 5 hours with US Eastern morning hours. On-call availability and occasional weekend work may be required.

Hiring Process:

-The process takes approximately 3 weeks and includes:

• 15-minute introductory call.
• 60-minute live systems session.
• Founder interview and reference checks.

-Paid trial lasting 2–4 weeks at the full rate.
