YouTube Video Editor For Documentary Channel

We're a YouTube studio making documentaries. Real research, real stories, no AI slop. We want every video to feel like a gripping true story, never a slideshow.

Compensation depends on your experience and skill level.

The style we want: watch the first 3 minutes of this video (it isn't ours): ----------

• Mostly still images (old paintings, engravings, archive photos, maps), each brought to life with slow, varied camera moves
• Photo cut-out silhouettes, portrait cards with names, and route maps where a red line draws itself across the sea
• One colour look across the whole video, with red as the only accent
• Hard cuts timed to the narrator's breaths, not a dissolve on every shot
• A clear voice over calm, deep music, with very few sound effects

You'll:

• Turn a script, voiceover and image list into a long-form documentary
• Find and prepare the images: clean them up, cut out figures and objects, and grade them into one look
• Build the maps, cards and text animations
• Mix the voice, music and the occasional sound effect

You have:

• Long-form YouTube documentaries you edited, built mostly from still images
• Real motion-graphics skill (After Effects, Fusion or similar). You can make an old engraving feel alive without it looking like a template
• A good eye for old artwork, and the patience to find the right picture for each line

Not a fit if most of your work is short-form, talking heads, gaming, stock-footage montages or slideshow-style videos.
