Wedding Photo Editor — Long-Term Remote Position

SALARY: $450 USD/month
WORKLOAD: 4 Projects Per Month
TURNAROUND: 7-10 Calendar Days Per Project

Rock Penguin Media is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and reliable wedding photo editor to join our team long-term.

This is NOT a beginner position.

We are looking for an experienced editor who understands professional wedding photography, culling, color correction, and maintaining consistency across an entire gallery.

The Position

This is a remote, long-term position with consistent work. You will receive 4 wedding photography projects per month.

Each project includes:

• Reviewing and culling the provided wedding gallery. I will already pre-cull most of the gallery, you will take out the last ---------- photos
• Final Gallery is ---------- images
• Removing duplicates, blurry images (that were not done for artistic purposes), missed-focus shots, and unflattering expressions
• Editing selected photographs in Adobe Lightroom Classic
• Correcting exposure, white balance, skin tones, masking, and colors
• Maintaining consistent editing across different lighting conditions and cameras
• Delivering the completed Lightroom catalog and edited JPEGs

We provide

• Our modified Jose Villa Lightroom preset
• Edited sneak peeks to use as a visual reference
• Editing instructions and expectations

Important: We do not want black-and-white edits. All delivered photographs must be in color.

Editing Style & Experience

Our editing style is inspired by Jose Villa, with an emphasis on natural skin tones, soft yet accurate colors, clean whites, and timeless wedding photography. No blue, green tints, vignette, or red hues

We use a modified Jose Villa preset, and the editor must be able to follow our established style rather than applying their own.

You should be comfortable with:

• Adobe Lightroom Classic
• Wedding photography culling
• Aftershoot or similar culling software - we use Aftershoot for the first round of culling before sending over
• Applying and adjusting Lightroom presets
• Correcting white balance and exposure
• Maintaining natural skin tones
• Matching photographs from different camera systems
• Editing flash photography and mixed lighting
• Working with RAW photographs
• Matching provided sneak-peek edits
• Maintaining consistency across hundreds of images
• Organizing and delivering Lightroom catalogs

Experience editing large wedding galleries is required.

Turnaround & Delivery

Each completed project must be delivered within 10 calendar days of receiving the files.

Final delivery must include:

1. Lightroom Classic catalog (.lrcat) containing all completed edits, ratings, and selections.
2. 200–400 edited, full-resolution JPEGs, ready for client delivery.

Original RAW files do not need to be returned. All original filenames must remain unchanged so the Lightroom catalog can be reconnected to our files.

All images must match the provided preset and sneak-peek references.

Compensation

$450 USD per month for 4 completed projects ($112.50 per project).

Payments are made on the 15th of each month.

Compensation includes reasonable revisions necessary to complete each project.

12. Confirmation that you can meet a 10-day turnaround for each project

Internet Speed Test

Please send a video recording of your internet speed test using Speedtest.net.

Run the test once, refresh the page, and run it a second time. Your recording should show both tests.

IMPORTANT

Applications that do not follow the instructions will not be considered.

Selected applicants may be asked to complete a paid editing test using our preset and sample RAW files.
