Part-Time Real Estate Bookkeeper (QuickBooks Online) – Rental Properties

About us
US-based real estate investor and private lender with a portfolio of rental properties. Our systems are already organized: bank and credit card feeds sync to QuickBooks Online, each property has its own bank account, and properties are tracked by class. We need a skilled bookkeeper to keep the books clean every week.

What you’ll do

Review and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Online every week
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Record rental income, mortgage payments (including principal/interest/escrow splits), and property expenses to the correct property
Send a short weekly list of any transactions you’re unsure about
Deliver a weekly P&L and Balance Sheet

Hours: 5–8 hours per week to start. Flexible schedule, but the weekly review must be completed by an agreed day every week. If you’re excellent, this can grow into full-time work that includes administrative tasks.

Requirements

Strong accounting skills, with real estate or property management bookkeeping experience
Proficient in QuickBooks Online (QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification strongly preferred)
Understanding of rental property accounting: repairs vs. capital improvements, mortgage splits, security deposits
Clear, confident spoken and written English
Highly reliable. You meet every deadline and communicate before a problem, not after.
Accurate and detail-oriented
Self-directed: you make sound decisions independently and ask questions only when it truly matters
