Squarespace Web Developer + SEO Specialist $800-$1,100/Month

Full-Time | 40 Hours/Week | $800-$1,100/Month | Long-Term Position

We are looking for an experienced Squarespace Web Developer + SEO Specialist who wants to grow with our company long term.

We need someone who understands Squarespace from both the design and technical/backend side, has strong SEO knowledge, can identify problems independently, and is comfortable working directly with the business owner every day.

We already have designs, photos, content, branding, and direction for many pages. Your role is to implement them accurately while continuously improving the website.

Responsibilities

You should be comfortable with:

• Building and editing Squarespace pages
• Recreating provided designs accurately
• Creating excellent desktop and mobile experiences
• Reviewing the Squarespace backend and troubleshooting issues
• Checking navigation, links, URLs, page settings, and site structure
• On-page and basic technical SEO
• Optimizing titles, meta descriptions, headings, alt text, URLs, and internal linking
• Identifying issues affecting SEO, performance, or search visibility
• Optimizing images and page performance
• Using custom CSS or code when necessary
• Reviewing existing pages and recommending practical improvements
• Taking initiative instead of waiting for detailed instructions for every task

We are looking for someone who is both a strong Squarespace developer and an SEO-minded website specialist.

Working Directly With the Owner

This is a highly collaborative position. You will work directly with the owner during your scheduled shift, including reviewing pages, making adjustments, troubleshooting, discussing SEO, and improving the website together.

You must:

• Have good conversational English
• Be comfortable communicating through WhatsApp
• Be available for video calls and screen sharing during working hours
• Be responsive throughout your scheduled shift
• Be comfortable receiving feedback and making changes in real time
• Communicate proactively when you notice problems or opportunities for improvement

Your scheduled working hours should be dedicated to our company and active collaboration with our team.

40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

You must be available during San Diego, California business hours, approximately:

• 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Work
• 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM: Break
• 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM: Work
• 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM: Break
• 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Work

Compensation & Growth

Months 1-4: $800/month
Months 5-8: $900/month
Months 9-12: $1,000/month
Month 13+: $1,100/month

Increases are based on strong performance, reliability, communication, quality of work, productivity, and initiative.
