About Med School Insiders
Med School Insiders helps students become physicians through world-class educational resources, mentorship, and admissions consulting. With millions of followers across YouTube and social media, a trusted reputation in the premed and medical communities, and a growing services and ecommerce business, MSI is redefining what support for future doctors looks like.
About the Role
We are hiring a Marketing Manager to own MSI's core marketing projects end to end and be accountable for the results. You will run paid acquisition, social media and short-form content, community, and email across three brands: Med School Insiders, Kevin Jubbal MD (KJMD), and Jubbal & Cars (J&C, limited to a monthly metrics review and strategy suggestions).
Paid acquisition is the center of this role. You own Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads, the path from ad click to booked sales call, and the numbers behind both. You also own the social and short-form content engine, working with our Director of Content, Creative Producer, and editors, who produce the long-form content you build from. You will work closely with our marketing strategy advisor, who has the CEO's trust and is consulted before major marketing decisions are final, and with a Google Ads technical specialist who supports you on Google.
This is a lean-forward, take-initiative role. We want someone who hears a half-formed strategic direction in a Monday meeting and converts it into live campaigns, briefs, and dashboards by Friday. If you prefer waiting around for assignments or routing every call up the chain, this is not the right fit.
Key Responsibilities
Ownership of Core Marketing Projects
- Own MSI's core marketing projects from plan to result: scope, timeline, owners, launch, and reporting.
- Convert direction from the CEO and the strategy advisor into executed campaigns, briefs, and timelines.
- Own the marketing calendar against MSI's admissions seasonality (Casper, Interview AI, PREview AI, MCAT, Research, Comprehensive Packages).
- Run the weekly marketing meeting, drive accountability on action items, and surface blockers early.
- Make routine execution decisions without waiting for sign-off.
Paid Acquisition
- Own paid ads end to end across Meta (primary), TikTok, and Google, in coordination with the Google Ads technical specialist.
- Plan, launch, manage, and optimize campaigns across all platforms, including medical student forums and niche networks.
- Build campaign roadmaps aligned with product launches, content drops, and seasonal admissions windows.
- Optimize targeting, creative, placements, and bidding to hit KPI goals efficiently.
- Develop full-funnel audiences from cold traffic through retargeting, including custom and lookalike audiences.
- Source and manage UGC creators and any external creative or media-buying contractors.
Funnel, Lead Quality, and Sales Handoff
- Own the full path from ad click to booked call to sales contact, and close gaps between marketing and sales rather than handing off at the form.
- Own landing page and conversion-path design for each campaign: message match, application forms, qualification steps, and CRO iteration.
- Optimize lead quality so the sales team spends its time with qualified leads.
- Design what a lead sees after booking (confirmation flow, VSL or sales asset served on booking) and coordinate speed-to-lead timing with sales.
Budget, Measurement, and Attribution
- Build platform allocations from a monthly or quarterly marketing budget, and adjust spend based on performance, seasonality, and market shifts.
- Forecast CAC, ROAS, lead volume, and MQL-to-SQL, and report risks or tradeoffs in advance, not after.
- Define and monitor key KPIs: CAC, ROAS, CTR, CVR, lead volume, deposit-to-close rate, revenue attribution.
- Deliver weekly and monthly reports with insights and actionable next steps, not just dashboards.
- Maintain tags, pixels, and tracking in Google Tag Manager, and keep attribution clean through WooCommerce and Attio CRM. Own the source of truth.
Social Media and Short-Form Content
- Own the social calendar across all MSI channels and YouTube community posts, promoting MSI courses, services, and Skool.
- Run the short-form engine: select timestamps from long-form content, write hook lines, direct editors on Repurposed Vertical Videos (RVVs), and approve captions.
- Build social campaigns that drive conversions, and test hooks and alternate takes.
- Track platform growth and social trends, and report monthly.
- Ensure comment responses, community moderation, giveaways, and surveys happen on schedule.
Community and Email
- Own Skool community growth and engagement, including occasional Q&As and Tutor Tuesday.
- Write the weekly newsletter and email campaigns promoting courses, services, and Skool.
- Build and maintain email sequences and signup forms in Kit, aligned with paid campaigns and lifecycle triggers.
Organization and Collaboration
- Consult the strategy advisor on major campaigns and strategic decisions before they are final, and bring that input to the CEO alongside your recommendation.
- Keep marketing trackers and SOPs current in Notion, including the MSI Playbook.
- Work with the Director of Content, Creative Producer, design, sales, and ecommerce on unified messaging and shared timelines.
- Brief creative by funnel stage, persona (premed, medical student, parent, residency applicant), and platform. Reject off-brief assets and resource the iteration.
