Shopify E-Commerce Virtual Assistant – Product Listings

Part-Time | 15–20 Hours Per Week | Long-Term Opportunity

We are a growing U.S.-based greeting card, paper goods, and gift company seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Shopify E-Commerce Virtual Assistant to join us part-time.

We need someone with Shopify experience to help us build and maintain our online product catalog. We have a growing number of products to add to our website accurately, consistently, and beautifully.

This is not a customer service or sales position. The primary focus will be entering and organizing Shopify products, including images, descriptions, and basic product SEO.

Responsibilities

You will help with:

Adding new products to Shopify

Uploading and organizing product images

Entering product titles and descriptions

Adding prices, SKUs, variants, inventory information, and other product details

Assigning products to the correct collections and categories

Adding tags and product types

Creating SEO page titles and meta descriptions

Adding image alt text

Checking listings carefully for spelling, formatting, pricing, and accuracy

Updating existing products when needed

Organizing product information using Google Sheets

Following our established format so listings remain consistent throughout the website

As our business grows, there may be opportunities to assist with Etsy listings, Faire wholesale listings, Canva, product research, website updates, and other e-commerce tasks.

Required Skills

Must have:

Previous Shopify experience

Experience creating and editing Shopify product listings

Strong attention to detail

Good written English

Experience with product images and basic image organization

Understanding of Shopify collections, tags, variants, SKUs, and inventory

Basic understanding of e-commerce SEO

Google Sheets or Excel experience

Ability to follow written instructions and checklists

Reliable computer and internet connection

Ability to work independently and ask questions when something is unclear

Nice to have:

Etsy experience

Faire wholesale experience

Canva experience

Basic photo editing/resizing experience

Experience with greeting cards, stationery, gifts, or retail products

Experience using ChatGPT or other AI tools for e-commerce

Shopify CSV/bulk product import experience

Hours & Compensation

This position will begin at approximately 15–20 hours per week.

Starting pay: $5.00 USD per hour

We are looking for someone interested in a long-term position. As the business grows and you demonstrate reliability and excellent work, there will be opportunities for additional hours, increased responsibility, and pay increases.

Hours can be reasonably flexible. We care more about accuracy, communication, and on-time delivery than requiring you to follow a specific U.S. schedule.
