Video Editor for Instagram Reels (CapCut, Template-Based, Long-Term)

JOB OVERVIEW

We need a reliable CapCut editor who turns our raw talking videos into finished Instagram Reels, in quantity, every week, at consistent quality. We supply the footage, text, fonts, colors, brand rules and reference videos of the formats we like. You recreate those formats in CapCut, we approve them, and from then on you use them for every video.

1. RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Recreate our recurring formats from reference videos (text over b-roll, talking-head, yapping reels, method and list videos, tier rankings, this-or-that, good/better/best, side-by-side and more) as reusable CapCut templates. We approve each one before you use it.
2. Format supplied videos for 9:16 and make basic cuts.
3. Generate English auto-captions and correct every mistake.
4. Apply approved templates, fonts, colors and branding exactly as agreed.
5. Add supplied hooks, banners and on-screen text.
6. Export a thumbnail frame from the finished video.
7. Export, upload to Google Drive and update the Google Sheet.

2. WHAT WE NEED

You know CapCut well and you work fast. Once a template is approved, a standard 60s talking-head Reel must not take you 1h from raw file to upload-ready, captions checked. You keep that pace across a high volume of videos, week after week, without quality dropping.

This is repetitive, template-based work, so it is fast. We do not need fancy editing, motion graphics or Mr Beast style. If you enjoy creative, complex edits, this is not the role for you.

You check your own work before sending it and catch caption errors, sync problems, misalignments and anything unfinished. You solve small problems yourself and only reach out when you need a decision from us. You reply within 24 hours and tell us early if you cannot deliver on time.

You also need good English comprehension, your own computer and reliable internet.

3. WORKING ARRANGEMENTS

1. Long-term, remote, part-time role.
2. 10+ hours per week, with room to grow.
3. High output, delivered in batches.
4. Turnaround: 48 hours per batch.
5. Rate: $8-10 USD per hour, depending on experience and performance. Later on can be paid per piece delivered.
6. Tools: CapCut, Canva, Google Drive, Google Sheets and WhatsApp.

4. HOW WE HIRE

1. Apply: Start your message with the word CHECKED to show that you've read the post. Send link to your portfolio and your CV. Nothing else.
2. Short form: If your work fits, we send you a Google Form with a few more questions.
3. Interview: A short video call.
4. Paid trial: A short paid trial (a few hours) with our real content and reference videos, before any ongoing work begins.
