We are an established U.S. manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant / CPA to manage monthly accounting, review expenses, and ensure financial accuracy following our migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.

We need an experienced accountant who investigates problems, questions expenses, and takes ownership — not someone who simply enters transactions.

Key Responsibilities

Audit migrated transactions and account balances from QuickBooks Desktop to QBO.

Review previously memorized and recurring transactions for accuracy, necessity, and proper setup.

Identify missing, duplicate, unmatched, or incorrectly categorized transactions.

Investigate and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, loans, AP, AR, and balance sheet accounts.

Review journal entries, accruals, and financial statements.

Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation schedules.

Maintain a list of unresolved accounting issues.

Expense & Vendor Auditing – HIGH PRIORITY

Review vendor invoices, recurring charges, subscriptions, and operating expenses.

Verify that charges are legitimate, accurate, authorized, and necessary.

Identify duplicate payments, unnecessary subscriptions, incorrect billing, and overcharges.

Compare invoices with contracts, pricing agreements, and payment history.

Question expenses lacking documentation or a clear business purpose.

Prepare a monthly expense audit report identifying discrepancies and potential savings.

CFO Coordination

Work directly with our fractional CFO team.

Research and respond to monthly accounting questions.

Investigate discrepancies and provide supporting documentation.

Proactively identify financial issues requiring management attention.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of verifiable professional accounting experience.

CPA qualification preferred.

Advanced QuickBooks Online experience — mandatory.

Strong U.S. accounting and GAAP knowledge.

Proven monthly closing and reconciliation experience.

Experience auditing expenses, vendor payments, and recurring charges.

Strong Excel skills and excellent English communication.

Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience preferred.

Work Schedule & Accountability

PART-TIME: Approximately 20–25 hours per week

This position requires dedicated, agreed-upon working hours with availability for scheduled meetings with our U.S. management and CFO team.

We have experienced issues with remote workers misrepresenting their availability and working hours. Our expectations are straightforward:

No working for another employer or client during hours paid by our company.

You must be actively working and responsive during your scheduled shift.

TimeProof is mandatory for time and activity tracking.

Payoneer is our exclusive payment method.

Reliable internet, backup connectivity, and prompt communication are expected.

Breaks, absences, and downtime must be reported accurately.

Repeated unexplained absences, falsified time records, or misrepresentation of availability will not be tolerated.

Other employment outside our scheduled hours is permitted, provided it does not interfere with your responsibilities, availability, or performance.

We respect legitimate illness and emergencies but require professional communication and accountability.

Performance Expectations

Monthly books closed accurately and on time.

Reconciliations completed with documented outstanding items.

Recurring expenses reviewed for accuracy and necessity.

QBO migration discrepancies identified and resolved.

Monthly expense exception report delivered to management.

CFO questions answered promptly and thoroughly.
