Local SEO & Google Business Profile Specialist — Marketing Automation
Confidential employer
Spark Pest Control is looking for a hands-on Local SEO and Google Business Profile specialist who also understands CRM workflows, marketing automation, and lead follow-up.
We serve homeowners and businesses in Gilbert and the surrounding Phoenix East Valley in Arizona. Our priority is to generate more qualified local inquiries and improve the systems that help our team respond, follow up, and book appointments.
You’ll work directly with the owner, focus on one business, and have room to investigate problems, recommend priorities, and implement improvements.
The role
Local SEO and Google Business Profile will be your primary responsibility. Automation will be a defined part of the role, with projects prioritized around the available hours.
We’re especially interested in someone who understands the connection between local visibility, lead capture, follow-up, and customer acquisition.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile
- Audit our Google Business Profile, website, local visibility, and competitors.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities across Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, and surrounding service areas.
- Improve GBP categories, services, business information, photos, and review-request processes.
- Optimize WordPress service pages, location content, internal links, and on-page SEO.
- Identify and resolve technical SEO issues within your capabilities.
- Improve business listings, citation accuracy, and relevant local links.
- Use Google Search Console, GA4, and local SEO tools to measure progress.
- Provide concise reporting on completed work, qualified leads, findings, and next priorities.
Marketing automation and integrations
We already use several tools to manage calls, leads, scheduling, and customer communication. We need someone who can understand those systems and help improve how they work together.
Projects may include:
- Connecting forms and lead sources to follow-up workflows.
- Building or improving Make scenarios, webhooks, and API integrations.
- Automating internal notifications, reminders, and reporting.
- Supporting estimate follow-up, customer reactivation, and review requests.
- Troubleshooting existing workflows and preventing duplicate or missed actions.
- Documenting and testing automations so our team can maintain them.
Our environment includes WordPress, Make, PestPac, Five9, CallRail, and Microsoft Teams. Experience with GoHighLevel is welcome, especially if you have also built integrations outside GHL. Familiarity with every platform is less important than your ability to understand and improve an existing setup.
What we’re looking for
- Demonstrated Local SEO and GBP results for home-service or other local businesses.
- Ability to personally implement website and SEO improvements.
- Practical experience with Make, Zapier, CRM workflows, or similar automation tools.
- Clear communication, sound prioritization, and reliable follow-through.
- Ability to work independently, estimate effort, and explain what you need from us.
- A focus on qualified inquiries and business results.
Your primary SEO measure will be qualified leads generated through organic search and Google Business Profile. Our sales team owns converting those opportunities; your automation work will help support that process.
Hours and compensation
This position starts at approximately 20 hours per week at $15–$16 USD/hour, depending on demonstrated experience. Some overlap with Arizona business hours is needed for coordination.
How to apply
Please include:
1. One or two examples of local SEO work you personally completed, including the starting situation, your actions, timeframe, and measurable results.
2. An example of an automation you built, including the tools involved, the problem it solved, and your personal contribution. Screenshots or a short walkthrough are welcome; please remove confidential client information.
3. Your availability, desired hourly rate, and whether a 20-hour/week starting schedule works for you. This role could easily graduate into full-time 40 hours per week.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to complete a short paid practical assessment.
