CDL-A Truck Driver Recruiter (Part-Time, 20 hrs/week, US Trucking)

Newman Industries runs CDL-A team trucks on dedicated overnight FedEx Ground linehaul out of Rialto, California. We are hiring a part-time recruiter (20 hours/week) whose ONLY job is finding, qualifying and hiring Class A team truck drivers. If you have recruited US truck drivers before and you like being on the phone, this is the role.

WHAT YOU WILL DO EVERY DAY

• Call and text new driver leads (Facebook , Indeed, our website) within minutes of them applying
• Qualify drivers: Class A CDL with 6+ months experience, team-ready or open to being paired with a partner
• Sell the job honestly: drop and hook, terminal to terminal, 4-5 days out, steady weekly pay
• Hand hired drivers to our operations team for background check, drug screen and onboarding
• Follow up until every lead is hired, dropped or not a fit, and log every call and note in our recruiting system
• Send a short end-of-day report: calls made, drivers qualified, drivers handed off

MUST HAVE

• 1+ year recruiting CDL-A drivers for a US trucking company (team driver recruiting is a big plus)
• You know the language: DOT, MVR, PSP, FMCSA Clearinghouse, drug screens, team vs solo, drop and hook
• Clear, confident spoken English and comfortable calling US drivers all day
• Work schedule: 20 hours per week, within 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM US Pacific time, Monday to Friday
• Quiet workspace, headset, reliable computer and fast internet
• Comfortable with a browser-based phone and texting system (we provide it)

NICE TO HAVE

• Spanish
• Experience with Tenstreet, First Advantage or similar onboarding tools
• Experience recruiting for FedEx linehaul or dedicated contractors

PAY
$6/hour plus a $100 bonus for every driver you place (hired and starts driving).
