ob title: Long-Form YouTube Video Editor for Finance Founder -
Confidential employer
I run The Capital Vault, a US-based capital advisory that helps established business owners secure growth capital. I'm building a YouTube channel around that business, educational videos that explain how business financing actually works, and I need a skilled long-form editor who can turn my raw talking-head recordings into polished, high-retention YouTube videos.
What you'll do:
Edit 1-2 long-form YouTube videos per week (8-20 minutes final length) from raw footage I record
Cut filler, tighten pacing, and structure the video so retention holds from hook to close
Add captions, on-screen text for key numbers and phrases, charts and simple graphics to illustrate financial concepts, and relevant B-roll
Build clean intros, chapter transitions, and end screens
Match a consistent brand style: clean, high contrast, professional, documentary feel, no over-edited gimmicks
Turn around a first cut within 48-72 hours, revisions within 24
Use my past videos and reference channels I share as a style guide, and improve on them over time
What I'm looking for:
2+ years editing long-form YouTube content, with a portfolio of 8-20 minute videos you've cut
Strong storytelling and pacing instincts (you know how to hold attention for 15 minutes, not just 15 seconds)
Clean caption, text, and simple motion graphics work
Proficient in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Comfortable creating simple charts and visual explainers from numbers I give you
Reliable, communicative, and able to work independently from a brief
Comfortable with finance/business content (no finance background needed, but you take the material seriously)
Bonus: thumbnail design, short-form clipping from the long-form, or experience with Opus Clip or Vizard
How we'll work:
Paid trial: you'll edit one long-form video from footage I provide so we can see if the fit is right
Clear briefs and script for every video, feedback in writing, workflow in Slack
Payment every two weeks via bank transfer
Original B-roll and graphics only. No generic stock footage.
To apply, include:
Links to 3-5 long-form YouTube videos you edited (8+ minutes)
Your editing software
Your availability per week and your rate
Start your application with the words "CAPITAL VAULT" so I know you read this.
I'm looking for someone to grow with. If the trial goes well, this becomes a steady long-term role, with the option to expand into short-form clipping and thumbnails as the channel grows.
Wage/Salary:
$500-$900/month (part-time, based on experience and output), with growth to full-time
Desired number of hours per week:
20
