About the Role

IF SALES CONVERSATIONS ENERGIZE YOU AND YOU HATE LETTING A LEAD GO COLD, THIS ROLE WAS BUILT FOR YOU.

We're a dance studio that does more than teach dance. We help students build confidence, friendships, leadership, and skills that last a lifetime.

We're looking for someone who can turn interested families into enrolled students through genuine conversations, consistent follow up, and proactive outreach.

We need someone who takes ownership, not someone who waits to be told what to do.

WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

This is a part time, remote sales position focused on connecting with prospective families and adult students, understanding their needs, and guiding them toward enrollment.

Your primary responsibility is contacting warm leads through calls, texts, and email s. When lead flow slows down, you'll proactively find new opportunities through social media, community groups, and online platforms.

You'll also support weekly email s to leads and occasionally contribute to social media content.

This isn't a role where you simply work through a checklist. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, stays organized, and genuinely cares about results.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Respond to new leads immediately. Speed matters, and every missed opportunity counts.
  • Convert interest into enrollment. Build trust, understand each family's needs, handle objections naturally, and guide them toward the next step.
  • Follow up consistently with prospective families and adult students through calls, texts, and email s using a structured cadence.
  • Own your pipeline. Keep the CRM updated, track every lead, and report daily activity and results without reminders.
  • Generate new opportunities through social media, community groups, and online platforms during downtime.
  • Support marketing by writing weekly email s to leads and assisting with occasional social media content.
  • Be a team player. Occasionally assist the studio owner with tasks outside your core responsibilities when they support the studio's growth.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Our priorities, in order:

  • Outstanding phone presence. You sound calm, natural, confident, and conversational. You can build trust quickly and move conversations forward without sounding scripted or pushy. This is our highest priority.
  • Excellent English communication. C1 level or higher in spoken and written English. This will be assessed.
  • Relevant experience. Sales, outreach, appointment setting, or enrollment experience is preferred. Strong transferable skills will also be considered.
  • Organization and reliability. You manage leads, follow through on commitments, maintain accurate records, and report results consistently.
  • Independence and initiative. You solve problems, identify opportunities, and stay productive without constant supervision.
  • Results driven mindset. You enjoy talking with people, take accountability, and care about converting opportunities into actual enrollments.
  • CRM familiarity. Experience with CRM tools or lead tracking systems is helpful but not required.

An interest or background in dance is a bonus, not a requirement.

SCHEDULE

20 hours per week across 7 days.

All times are Pacific Time (PT).

Monday–Friday (3.5 hours/day):

  • 11:00–11:30 AM
  • 12:30–1:30 PM
  • 4:00–6:00 PM

Saturday–Sunday (1.25 hours/day):

  • 10:00–11:15 AM

Important: This is a split shift schedule, and weekend availability is required.

Hours may change seasonally based on studio needs, with shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 9:00 PM PT. Any adjustments will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

You must be able to reliably work the current schedule and have reasonable flexibility for future changes.

LONG-TERM COMMITMENT & GROWTH

We're looking for someone who wants to make this their primary professional opportunity, not someone looking to add another job to an already full schedule.

If you're currently employed, you should be actively looking to transition into a new role. We're not looking for candidates who intend to maintain multiple jobs long term.

This position starts at 20 hours per week, with a clear path to full time based on performance. Consistently generating new leads and converting interested families into enrolled students is what earns additional hours. The stronger your results, the greater your opportunity to grow.

You must be able to fully commit to the current schedule, give this role your undivided attention during working hours, and be genuinely interested in growing with the studio.

PAID TWO-WEEK TRIAL

The position begins with a 1-2 week trial to confirm a strong fit on both sides.

We'll evaluate your reliability, communication, follow through, organization, quality of work, lead management, and ability to operate independently.

At the end of the trial, we'll review performance together and d ---------- whether to continue long term.

COMPENSATION

$250 per month, paid biweekly through Wise.

This is initially a part time position. Additional hours and the potential to transition into full time work depend on consistent performance, enrollment results, and the studio's business needs.

We want to invest more hours in someone who demonstrates they can make a meaningful impact.

HOW TO APPLY

Please send:

  • Your resume and a short introduction.
  • A real example of a time you followed up with someone consistently and it made a meaningful difference.

Include "Buzz Lightyear" in your subject line or message title.

We review applications that follow these instructions carefully. Think of this as your first opportunity to demonstrate the attention to detail and follow through we value in this role.
