REMOTE VIDEO PODCAST EDITOR (DESCRIPT)

We are a Singapore-based medical and wellness brand looking for an experienced video editor for an ongoing interview podcast.

Each episode is roughly 60-90 minutes of conversation with two or three speakers. We record remotely in Descript Rooms with multiple cameras and separate audio tracks, and you will edit inside our own Descript Drive. You must already know how to work in Descript, including footage recorded in Descript Rooms. This is a firm requirement.

DELIVERABLES FOR EACH EPISODE

• One professionally edited 60-90 minute YouTube episode
• 6-7 vertical Shorts/Reels from the strongest moments, each with accurate, readable captions
• YouTube thumbnail graphic
• Episode title graphic
• Quote graphics for social media (for the guest and for our own channels)

The finished content should feel polished, intelligent, modern and premium. We prefer clean, restrained editing, not excessive animations or gimmicky social-media styling. The Shorts must not be random extracts: you need to find compelling moments that stand alone and make people want to watch the full conversation.

MEDICAL CONTENT STANDARDS
The podcast covers medical, aesthetic, health and wellness topics. Accuracy matters. Medical terms in captions and graphics must be spelled correctly, names and treatments must not be guessed, and nothing may be edited in a way that changes the speaker's medical meaning. Flag anything uncertain instead of guessing. AI tools are fine for speeding up transcription and clip finding, but all output must be reviewed and corrected by you.

TURNAROUND

• Confirm receipt of files within 12 hours and report any missing or damaged files immediately
• First full-length edit within 4 working days
• Full package (Shorts and graphics) within 6 working days
• Revisions back within 2 working days, up to 2 reasonable revision rounds per episode

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience editing in Descript, including recordings made in Descript Rooms
• At least 2 years of professional video editing
• Long-form interviews, podcasts or multicamera conversations with 2-3 speakers
• Strong audio cleanup (noise reduction, EQ, balancing speakers)
• Good judgement on pacing, camera selection and short-form moments
• Excellent written English and caption accuracy
• Reliable high-speed internet for large video files
• Capacity for 2-4 episodes per month

COMPENSATION

• US$150 per episode, including the full package above and up to 2 revision rounds
• Around 2-4 episodes per month to start
• Payment by bank transfer: one transfer at the end of each month covering all episodes delivered that month
• Long-term opportunity for the right editor; rate reviewed if the workload grows materially

PAID EDITING TEST
Shortlisted applicants get a paid test using supplied footage: edit a short multicamera segment in Descript, clean the audio, and produce one captioned vertical Short plus a simple title graphic. The test fee is US$25, paid by bank transfer once you submit the completed test.

4. Which parts of each example you personally completed
5. Examples of thumbnail or quote graphics you have made, if any
6. Your computer specs and approximate internet speed
7. Your normal turnaround for a 60-90 minute multicamera podcast
8. Confirmation you can handle 2-4 episodes per month
9. The word "horizon" at the start of your application to confirm you read the whole ad
